Plagiarism
[edit]Hi, I received a notification that you had posted content to truth value that was previously published elsewhere. This is seen as plagiarism and a copyright issue, even if you include the citation as a source. In this situation the material is specifically copyrighted to the person who wrote it, Stewart Shapiro, and is marked as such at the bottom. The general rule of thumb is to assume that anything you find on the Internet or offline is copyrighted in a way that would prohibit it from being published on Wikipedia unless it's clearly marked as falling within the public domain or has a compatible Creative Commons license. In general you're more likely to find things that you can't post verbatim or closely paraphrased than things that you can, as most authors tend to copyright in a way that protects their intellectual properties.
I would like for you to re-review the module on plagiarism, thanks. I'm also going to ping your professor to the page. Drkarenkpaul Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:45, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
