Speedy deletion of Christ Church Pentecostal

[edit]

{{hangon}}

A tag has been placed on Christ Church Pentecostal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello! and Excuse me sir or ma'm, if this User Page is in the wrong place or posted in wrong format. Please accept my apology and let me know where the churches in Jacksonville, Florida can be posted. In the churches listed by United States cities, there are only 19 cities represented. Jacksonville, Florida has none listed while there are many. While our assembly does not rank at 1000 members or more, we are proud of our United Pentecostal Church International affiliation and heritage. I have a published work and my father-in-law is a former UPCI dignitary. Shocked to know this had been tagged, I looked at other churches included and see a variance of formats. Some seemingly more important than others with architectural history, others simply a listing. I can copy a template and re-post if need be.

On the other hand, and perhaps something more interesting than my User Page; with regard to the United Pentecostal Church International wikipedia.org article, the most recent edit appears rather spurious: "The UPCI has suffered several splinters since its inception in 1945..." and so forth, is more likely an attempt to subvert the integrity of the United Pentecostal Church International. "[citation needed]" is inserted, yet it would be best removed for its uncloaked intent to malign as revealed through the opinion rendered "An interesting accusations since most... with no citation of fact offered.

By the way, is a User Page more than that? Thanks.--Ccpentecostal (talk) 06:37, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why in the world would my user page be tagged? This is "My User Page"... How weird.

Christ Church "Project"

In answer to your question posted on Talk:Christ Church: Although your contributions are quite welcome, I have never specifically issued you any invitation to contribute. Your article on your church was speedily deleted because it does not fit the criteria for inclusion in Wikipedia, and this does happen very quickly with new articles that do not assert their notability. Your church must meet the notability requirements in order to have an article. (The majority of the churches listed on the "Christ Church" page are notable because their buildings are of historical importance.) If you can establish notability in some way, then you can resubmit your article, but also beware of your obvious conflict of interest and the need for a neutral point of view. Also, it may be helpful to review the guidelines at WP:BFAQ since they apply to organizations as well as businesses. I hope this helps! SlackerMom (talk) 13:24, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
