Vandalism
[edit] This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Rachel McAdams, you will be blocked from editing. Ward3001 (talk) 21:00, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Sockpuppetry
[edit]Repeated vandalism from different IP addresses and usernames is known as sockpuppetry on Wikipedia. Sockpuppetry is one of the more egregious forms of vandalism. Not only will you be blocked for sockpuppetry, if you continue you can be permanently banned from Wikipedia. Wikipedia has the capability for determining whether a vandal is using different IP addresses or unsernames. We know that you are engaging in sockpuppetry from different IP addresses located in Herndon, Virginia, USA, and that you a using these sockpuppets to repeatedly vandalize Rachel McAdams. STOP THIS SOCKPUPPETRY IMMEDIATELY. Otherwise you will be blocked and eventually banned. Ward3001 (talk) 21:00, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
RE: Rachel McAdams Edit
[edit]All I did was change the date of her birthday. I saw a another source that said her birthday was different than what was written in the article, so I changed it. Even some of the sources on the page list her birtdate as different than what is in the wiki article. I didn't think it was that big of deal that you had to warn me about vandelism. It's a non issue.
- You don't change someone's birthdate without discussing it first unless you're a vandal. It's not minor change, and it has been discussed extensively. Take a few seconds to look the Talk page before making such a major change. It's an issue. It's vandalism when you do it without discussion. That's the way it works on Wikipedia.
