[edit]Hello & welcome. Lets use secondary sources on articles. They're preferred and are of higher quality. Dawnseeker2000 21:29, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
- You mean like a pdf of the information? Cayden ツ
- I mean like not using a source from a manufacturer of bottle filling machines. If we look around there are likely sources available that come from parties that don't have a stake in what's being said. Dawnseeker2000 15:40, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Christmas card. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Dawnseeker2000 15:50, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
- This was not spamming an external link, in fact it wasn't under external links, it was under a citation and it was from a page that does not link to any products. which follows http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Relevance_of_content#Content Cayden ツ iTalk
Well look... What I've seen from you is the addition of a handful of low quality links that just aren't what we're looking for in citations. We'd much rather have a source from a recognizable authority than one from the types of websites that you've added here and there. I templated you because I saw that you'd previously been asked not to add poor quality / spam links to articles. Thanks and have a good one today... Dawnseeker2000 16:22, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
- Well we can just start with the regular news outlets like CNN, msnbc.com, or BBC News. Those are good for lots of articles, but might not have a source for the types of articles that you've been working on. But there are other sources that publish material that you might be able to use. You could consider using Ars Technica, ESPN.com, or Space.com. Those are just examples, but you get the idea. A website or organization that's been around a while and even one that has a Wikipedia has deemed "notable" and has an article here. Anyway, good luck. Dawnseeker2000 16:46, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for the tips, I will be working on cleaning up my Wikipedia edits to keep them using authority sources. Cayden ツ iTalk
