Adminship
[edit]Hey there Trees, I know that you are hoping to run for adminship down the road, thus I would suggest changing your sig. That lime green color is annoying and hard to read.Balloonman (talk) 00:46, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Response
[edit]A response has been given to your input at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Moment (Framing Hanley album). I remind you that voting in AfD's with no reasoning isn't really grounds for deletion, and your vote may be overlooked. It is not a majority vote, yet an attempt to create a consensus among Wikipedia users. I urge you to read WP:POINT, WP:IDONTLIKEIT, WP:BIO, WP:MUSIC, and any other pages you think you could use a little touchup on. If you need any help, I'm always available. phøenixMøurning ( talk/contribs ) 02:26, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- Ditto re your identical comment with no reason as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Incest pornography. I don't want it to look like we've ganging up on you, but this kind of voting with no reasoning will be ignored, and is just a waste of your time. I urge you to read the policies Phoenix has pointed you towards. — iridescent 02:39, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- One of the things that I highly recommend to my coachees is to make clear policy driven votes in AfD's. These types of !votes can hurt future aspirations.---man 02:42, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your comments. Please note that on Wikipedia, consensus is determined by discussion, not voting, and it is the quality of arguments that counts, not the number of people supporting a position. Consider reading about the deletion policy for a brief overview for the deletion process, and how we decide what to keep and what to delete. We hope you decide to stay and contribute even more. Thank you! I've seen you give very invalid reasons for keeping or deleting an article: "Keep but cite it", "Keep, good article", or just giving a !vote with no reasoning attached -- these are all considered bad form in AfD. Please read WP:ATA for a list of arguments to avoid in AfD discussions. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 03:50, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Offer of adoption
[edit]Trees Rock, consider this an offer of adoption. While it appears you have a very basic understanding of some Wikipedia policies, a cursory view of your talk page (and archives) shows that there are still some sections of Wikipedia you are unfamiliar with. I am fully willing and would be honored to help you become better acquainted with the Project. While I am by no means perfect, I generally believe that I have a feel for the tenants of Wikipedia and its policies. To be honest, you remind me of myself when I first became an active editor for Wikipedia: very eager to help but not sure of how (and towards what areas) you should direct your energies. I will be awaiting your reply. --SharkfaceT/C 19:15, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- To be honest, I think you're far from ready to be even considering an admin coach. You have been warned almost constantly since you've been here about your actions and ignorance towards the process. I suggest you get acquainted with the Project first before you shoot for adminship. Besides this, one should not look towards adminship so early on in their Wikipedia career. Adminship is a job, not a prize. It may sound harsh, but one shouldn't be here if they simply want the title of adminship. We Wikipedians are here to contribute to the knowledge of the Project, so that the information of the world can be made free to anyone, anywhere. --SharkfaceT/C 20:16, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
