Hi! Thanks so much for the welcome and for the heads-up about the images. I'll make sure to format it properly in the future. Have a great day! Catstrophysics (talk) 13:02, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Images in infoboxes

[edit]

Hi there, thank you for adding images to some biographical articles! Please bare in mind WP:IBI though when adding images to infoboxes, as I've had to correct a few of them today. -Kj cheetham (talk) 11:21, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Just wanted to reply here one more time and make sure I've done it correctly now--I added an image to Gibor Basri's page following what the style manual said this time, and wanted to check if it was done properly. Apologies for bugging you and thanks for the help! Catstrophysics (talk) 18:24, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there! It's never a bother! It's better, though still had some extra formatting which I've now removed. I saw you're using the visual editor and I admit I'm not sure how to do it nearly using that as I always edit the source myself.
On a related note, I saw it said the image was courtesy of the subject - do you personally know the subject? -Kj cheetham (talk) 18:39, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't personally know the subjects! I know that's not allowed. I'm working with the American Institute of Physics this summer, and through them am contacting still-living physicists who don't have images of themselves on their pages to update before they pass on, as pictures of most living people are severely lacking in AIP's visual archives. Keep up the good work! It's sometimes worth at least being aware of potential WP:COI. -Kj cheetham (talk) 11:29, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
