Hi! My names Peyton and I'm your languages in peril class! Just wanted to introduce myself.
Peer Review and Edit
[edit]Catherine,
I thought your lead section was very insightful for your topic, however, most of your writing sounds like it will be focused on dialects. I really recommend that you add further details about the language- perhaps how many speakers, how endangered it is, why it is endangered, who still speaks the language, do they also have a specific culture, are speakers making any attempt to save the language, etc. I would also love to hear about more of the language's history and roots. Your section was written extremely well, sounding very encyclopedic. I changed few grammar errors. One sentence was a run on, while a few others needed changes in citations. For the future, citations have "zzzzzzzz" (Author PG#). No period is needed at the end of the fact/quote, and no comma is needed between author and page number. The structure of the section was also written well. I felt the flow of the writing was very appropriate and simple- making your work easily and comprehendible. I am very excited to read about this language once you finish your work. Great job and good luck with the rest of the assignment! I hope my tips were helpful! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Allyvanschaik (talk • contribs) 00:06, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
