Image Tagging Image:DrsStone.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:DrsStone.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Hey, I got it all taken care of - thank you for your guidance. Cate108 01:53, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Once more

[edit]

Nice work! I made some small tweaks: it isn't necessary to wikilink individual years, just complete dates; all Jewish American writers are American writers. I didn't tag them but the images you have marked as "promotional" do not qualify. Merely posting a photo on a webpage does not cause it to be released for promotional purposes. But those are mere nits. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. -Will Beback 20:51, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's very complicated. For more information, see Wikipedia:Copyrights, Wikipedia:image tags, Wikipedia:Example requests for permission, for examples, see: Wikipedia:Successful requests for permission. Basically, the permission must be very broad, and must not explicitly exclude commercial use. -Will Beback 23:57, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disowned Selves

[edit]

I'm curious as to why you removed the disowned selves article from the psychology topics category. SteveWolfer 02:27, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I got your reply. I was looking at the wrong line on the history page, sorry about that. It was a bot that removed the category. The category was 'red' - an empty link. It turns out there is no such category. Maybe there never was or maybe it has been deleted. But there is a list of psychology topics. If it isn't on the list page, I'll insert it. Proposed deletion of Voice Dialogue

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Voice Dialogue, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No assertion of notability.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. File permission problem with File:DrsStone.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:DrsStone.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. B (talk) 19:32, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
