Diffs

[edit]

Hello,

Just wondering - do the diffs have to be actual diffs or can they be things disallowed by an edit filter?, because a lot of the vandalism is disallowed. Thanks, Giraffer (munch) 11:33, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Diffs (again)

[edit]

Cassiopeia, I have done some speedy deletion tagging but since the pages are all deleted I cannot link a diff. Instead, can I link my Twinkle CSD log? It shows the name, criteria, and whether it was deleted or not. Giraffer (munch) 16:00, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

RfPP

[edit]

Hello, Cassiopeia. I am still working on CVUA (despite what the page history might seem like), but I am having trouble finding pages for RfPP. Do you have any tips on how to locate some? I don't want to force a request purely for this. Thanks, Giraffer munch 18:16, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Giraffer There are two types of RPP. (1) is many vandalism edits by multiple editors in the same article and usually in happen within the same day/within few hours. This typically happens in an article where by the subject involve in certain breaking new which at times it would be somewhat controversial. Examples would be (i) US soccer team beat Germany by 5-0 then we would see many vandalism in Germany soccer team articles. (ii) a combat sport where by XXX has been KO in a spectacular fashion, then we would see vandalism edits in the event page and subject (fighter) page. (iii) it can also happen in an article where by multiple editors disagree with content and keep on reverting each other info which at times the edits could be considered vandalism/extremely disturbing. (2) the second time of RPP is low volumn but happens within a duration (few days to few weeks) where by a few editors keep on vandalism the page in a steady periodically. Unless you are familiar with the article where by you the article is on your watchlist to know such edits if not you need to check the history page instead. Every UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) event got vandalised during the fights (5-6 hours), and majority of them need RPP. Here is the UFC Scheduled events and you can check UFC event page to see what time the fights happen in where you live. Let me know if anything else I could help.09:50, 6 October 2020 (UTC) Cassiopeia(talk)

3RR

[edit]

Hi Cass, do the 3RR violation diffs need to be ANI reports, or can they be 3RR reports? Thanks, Giraffer munch 16:48, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Giraffer 3RR should reported to WP:AN/3. Do note, we send a 3RR warning to the involved editor on their 3rd revert on the same page; if the involved editor still go ahead to make their 4th edit on the same page within 24 hours then we can report them. When reporting pls make sure to provide all the revert hist diff(s). Pls read Wikipedia:Edit warring and WP:3RR. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 01:31, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

CSD

[edit]

Hi Cassiopeia, I am nearly finished (I just need to do a fringe theory revert, a warning for a self-reverted test edit, & the RfPPs) but can I link my CSD log instead of adding individual links? Thanks, Giraffer (talk·contribs) 18:25, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Giraffer Good day. Good to know you are almost done. For CSD, pls provide (1) your CSD log with month and # indicated and also (2) the editor page where the CSD is placed. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 21:53, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
CASSIOPEIA ok, thanks. Giraffer (talk·contribs) 21:55, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
