Question from Kdee-east (06:01, 23 August 2023)

Hello,how do I upload a song --Kdee-east (talk) 06:01, 23 August 2023 (UTC)

Hi Kdee-east, you can't upload most songs to Wikipedia. If you have completely composed and recorded a song by yourself, you can use Wikimedia Commons for your songs, similar to:
You can't upload MP3 files due to a history of abuse by people who don't understand copyright. If you upload someone else's song, your account may be blocked. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 09:50, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
thank u for the notice I have one last question,so it possible for a musician to be marketed through Wikipedia? Kdee-east (talk) 15:40, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
Not really. Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia, so it is unlikely that we’d market musicians. However, you can get paid to edit (I’d guess to promote something if I’m right), which could be similar to marketing. Brachy08 (Talk) 03:08, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
Hi @Kdee-east and Brachy0008:, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and NOT a platform for marketing or promotion and editors are volunteers who do NOT get paid by Wikipedia. Cassiopeia talk 03:31, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
I meant the payers aren’t Wikipedia. Brachy08 (Talk) 04:09, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
@Kdee-east and Brachy0008:, Pls note all paid editors by others /companies NEED to disclose that they are paid editor in their user page (see WP:PAID, and follow all rules and guidelines of Wikipedia such as info added/changed including page creation needs to adhere to WP:IS, WP:RS, WP:V, WP:NPOV, WP:COPYVIO, WP:PROMO, WP:N just to name some (pls click on the highlighted texts to read the guidelines). I know he relinquished his belt, but UFC still have him listed as their champion. How are we treating that on his page/rankings? Nswix (talk) 01:25, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

Nswix, Good day and thank you for the question. Hills relinquished his belt which means he is no longer the UFC LHW champion. UFC website in term the fightcards and rankings are always not updated and many times wrong (especially in rankings page - even thought is a little better in the past - for I check the rankings in UFC sites every week since I have been the main editor who updated the UFC rankings in Wikipedia - I need to cross checked with TSN and other sites to make sure the accuracy of the UFC page). How often we have seen the fighters were forced to removed from the events, but they are still in the fight cards for many weeks? Too many to count. Since Hill already reliqueished the belt and it is reported by many independent, reliable source (note UFC is not a reliable (in all Wikipedia articles) or independent (for UFC related pages in Wikipedia), we would treat it that Hill is no longer the UFC LHW champion. A citation can be added for the verification next to the "vacant" text of UFC LHW field/text. By the way, let me take this opportunity to thank you for your contribution especially in MMA related pages in Wikipedia. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 02:35, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

Question from Gjonas2 (17:50, 31 August 2023)

I have been given some suggested edits for my draft. How do I get to the draft to begin editing? --Gjonas2 (talk) 17:50, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

Gjonas2, Good day. I dont understand your question but I believe it is about your draft article Draft:Susanne Kord. (Note: I would be easy for editor to answer and help you next time if you can provide the link of the said issue and in details of the info). The reviewer indicated you have a coflict of interest with the subject (Susanne Kord). May I know what is the relation between you and Kord?.
have taken a look at the draft briefly, and the draft article is not notable to be published on the draft space. For a subject to be notable, the subject needs to have significant coverage by independent, reliable source where by the sources talk about the subject in depth and in length and not merely mention for verificant. Independent, reliable sources such as from the major newspapers, books and sources can be any languages. Sources that is related to the subject (such as the University, Fellowship, family, students and her website and etc ) are considered not independent and the sources can NOT be contribute to the notability requirements by Wikipedia. Pls click on the highlighted texts (links) above for further reading to understand the details info required. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 01:10, 1 September 2023 (UTC)

Question from LadyRedtopp (10:58, 1 September 2023)

Hi I’m a artist how do I add me to this site --LadyRedtopp (talk) 10:58, 1 September 2023 (UTC)

LadyRedtopp Good day. First of all Wikipedia is not a promotion sites but an encyclopedia. Article of a subject would only be published in Wikiepdia if the subject is notable which means if the subject has significant coverage by independent, reliable source (such as major newspapers and books) where by the subject is talked about in length and in dept. Any social media, homepage, marketing/press release, listing, sources that related, affiliated, connected to the subject can NOT be used to contribute to the notability of the subject.
Secondly, since you are the subject, that means you have a confilict of interest. Wikipedia strongly discourage the editor with conflict of interest to write about themselves even if the subject is notable. Cassiopeia talk 13:39, 1 September 2023 (UTC)

About NPPSCHOOL

Hey Cassiopeia, I've been interested in taking your course to become a new pages patroller for some time, and was wondering if you'd like to take another student? TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 19:24, 3 September 2023 (UTC)

Cassiopeia? TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 18:47, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
TechnoSquirrel69 Good day. Thank you for interested in NPPS. Understand that you are working on the CVUA program at the moment and I would like to inform you that NPPS is a lot more complicated and require a lot of your time on working on the assignment and reading the material. The usual time frame for the past NPPS students to complete the program is about 3 months but that is no time frame to complete the program as student works on the assignment at their own time and pace. Let me if you are still interested after receiving the info above so I could set up the program for you. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 03:34, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
I understand completely that NPP is a significantly more involved process than counter-vandalism, and I was prepared for a relatively long-term learning curve from the outset. I have been accruing some experience reviewing at AfC, and would love to continue to expand that skillset here. Let me know what you think! TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 03:47, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
TechnoSquirrel69 Good day. I have set up the assignment for you. Pls read the "communication section" at the bottom of the assignment first prior starting working on the assignment. Ping me on the communication section if you have any question or you have finished the assignment and would like me to review it. Welcome to NPPS. Stay safe. Cassiopeia talk 04:10, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
Thanks, Cassiopeia, I'm looking forward to working with you! I've gone through the first couple sections and should be able to get started answering the questions tomorrow. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 04:24, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
