Science Communication Draft in your User Space
[edit]Hi Cassidy,
I saw your message to Casliber about the draft information for students, and am wondering if you would welcome comment from others who you haven't specifically approached. I have an academic background with qualifications in education and science, have written science articles (including the GA biography on Hans Feeeman, the GA on hexamethylbenzene, and the FA on rhodocene, and have been involved with Wikipedia for approaching ten years. I understand if you want to keep the discussion to a selected group at present, which is why I haven't just boldly commented, but as this is a topic I have views on and am (it looks like) going to be discussing with EJustice about how his class assignment went wrong, I thought I could offer some useful comment for consideration.
Thanks,

- Hi @EdChem: yes please! We (Wiki Education) definitely welcome your feedback; thank you for reaching out. We'd appreciate your thoughts on the draft by 3/12, as I'll be making changes and then sending it to be printed shortly after. Thanks again. Cassidy (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:35, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
Educational project
[edit]Hi there. I have some thoughts about a possible international school project which could be run on Wikipedia. Would require a fair bit of organising. Subject is astronomy. Have I come to the right place to discuss? Regards Peter Damian (talk) 13:46, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Peter Damian, thanks for reaching out. Wiki Education doesn't support education projects outside of the US and Canada, so I would encourage you to contact the Wikimedia Foundation's education team instead. They may be able to answer your question. They can be reached at education@wikimedia.org. The Wikipedia Education Program works to connect instructors to Wikipedia on a global level, operating in over 75 countries. They use many of the same resources we do and their Programs and Events Dashboard is able to pull statistics from other language Wikipedia's. Here is a guide for using that tool. Hope this helps. Good luck! Cassidy (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:45, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks! Peter Damian (talk) 19:46, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
Replacement of the secondary account
[edit]Would you be able to guide me how to close my secondary account which is linked to my primary account (Goodtiming8871) on my user page? I was unable to find the request page for closing the old secondary account on Wikipedia. I created the new secondary account today which is Goodtiming1788 as per the kind recommendation by another user in Wikipedia. I created the new subsidiary account: Goodtiming1788 as it is a comparable name to my primary account Goodtiming8871 Goodtiming8871 (talk) 09:14, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Goodtiming8871, Unfortunately this isn’t my area of expertise, so I won't be of much help. I would suggest you ask your question at the Teahouse. Cassidy (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:51, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for your kind advice. Goodtiming8871 (talk) 23:43, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
