RFA thanks
Thanks so much for your support on my RFA, which closed successfully this morning with a result of (64/3/3). I will be stepping lightly at first trying to make sure I don't mess up too badly using the tools. Any further advice/guidance will be gratefully accepted. I hope I will live up to your trust! Your recent edits
Hi! I think we're patrolling new pages together this morning (or afternoon where you are!). You've tagged a few articles for clean-up that really should have been either deleted or redirected; e.g., an article about a seventh grade boy that lists his best friends and the sports he plays. You're right in deducing the article needs clean-up (it was poorly formatted), but the article shouldn't be on Wikipedia at all. Perhaps you would like to carefully review the criteria for speedy deletion, and then make sure that you read the article carefully before tagging it. Thanks for helping make Wikipedia better! Happy editing! -- Merope 14:49, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- I completely understand. Just remember that it's a learning process and we all make mistakes. As for being nervous about speedying something, you can also use a {{prod}} tag, which proposes deletion but can be removed by anyone who contests it. You can read about it here. Cheers! -- Merope 15:16, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
just wonderin conor noble is an important person
I noticed that you tagged the article Gleason's theorem as nonsense. In fact, it's complicated mathematics, but it isn't nonsense. The speedy tag has been removed. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 14:19, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi Casmith_789, thank you for supporting me in my RfA, which was closed as successful today with a finaly tally of (56/0/3). I will be very careful at first to avoid any mistakes. Please feel free to leave a message in my talk page if you have any comments/suggestions about me in the future. Once again, thank you! --WinHunter (talk) 09:08, 4 September 2006 (UTC) |
about Science Citation Index
hi, I noticed that you put Science Citation Index as speedy deletion. I don't know why. If it is a stub, you can add a template of stub. Many versions of Wikipedia have this article. I don't see any reason to put it into speedy deletion. And I will expand it. Please cool down. Thanks.--Neo-Jay 12:09, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Many thanks for your removing the speedy deletion tag. --Neo-Jay 12:40, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
ACS Beirut
Hi, I am creating an article on ACS Beirut, but it is not finished yet, and it would be much appreciated if you did not add a speedy deletion tag on it until it is finished
thanks :)
o and sorry about deleting it - i didn't know what the piece of code at the top was...
How come you don't believe that Dear deserves at the very least--Disambiguation. May I be Personal with you? Have you ever written or receive a "Dear John letter"? PS: On this, do you get the Humor? Yours truly, Ludvikus 14:36, 5 September 2006 (UTC) And by the way, don't you think that "Yours truly," needs Disambiguation from "Your Truly"?

JPD's RfA

I didn't mean to
Hey I wasn't creating a meaningless page, i just signed up to wikipedia, and thought that every user had they're own page so that people could contact them. My apologies for the confusion
ETod09 08 September 06
Could you explain
sorry about that, I just signed up so im kinda confused, is they're a user page that I can create? Or do i just type in ETod09 into the search box and go from there, im not to sure since it says that im gonna get deleted or whatnot wherever i go. Can you explain how i can create a user page without creating an idividual article about myself?
ETod09 03:17 8 September 06
Thank you
Thanks for the info, one more thing could you tell me how everyone has the date time, and UTC after their names when they site they're name? And what does UTC mean?
ETod09 07:47, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
If i wanted to create a table of contents, like you for example how would I go about doing that? ETod09 07:47, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
VIDYA - an ngo
Can you elaborate as to why the POV is disputed on VIDYA - an ngo? -- Ratarsed 09:37, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- When I put the NPOV tag on I felt that you were saying that the program always helped children and now someone has fixed that by saying the program is intended to help. It was only minor. -- Casmith 789 08:30, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Victorian-rail-stub
please stop changing articles listed at victoria-rail-stubs to stubs. im arranging them into a category to make it easier for other people with knowledge on them to be able to find and edit them, thank you --Dan027 15:19, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Re: Bands
Hey there, Thanks for the message on my page, I went ahead and expanded the article and now have it contested for deletion. If you could take a look and see what you think. --Thefirechild 15:54, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks Casmith 789

Hello and Thanks
Hi - I'm Nimue. Just as you were putting on the stub for Oracle's Queen, I just finished typing the summary. Another case where the edits trip over each other! Anyway, just wanted to thank you for being so quick to notice that new article.
Regards and happy editing, Lady Nimue of the Lake 07:22, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Okay, it's expanded. Was that fast enough for you? :-) --The Transhumanist 09:46, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks
Hi Casmith 789, thanks a lot for the userboxes. I am still on a wikibreak and only editing intermittently. Will put up the userboxes in the respective project pages once I am fully online -- Lost(talk) 08:55, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
RfA thanks
Thank you for participating in my RfA, which passed with a tally of 66/11/5. I learned quite a bit during the process, and I expect to be learning a lot more in the days ahead. I will be taking things slowly (and doing a lot of re-reading), but I hope you will let me know if there is anything I can do to improve in my new capacity. -- Merope Talk 13:39, 6 October 2006 (UTC) |
CSD
Hi Casmith. Regarding your AfD nom for Luke Wakefield, if you see anything like that in future just go ahead and add the {{db-bio}} tag. The article has been speedily deleted. Thanks, Deizio talk 12:21, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
Re:Your tools on the edit counter
I've now fixed the hover-tips to be more generic. (For technical reasons, it's easiest to make them the same.) --ais523 12:25, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Userboxes
Hi Casmith, I just added the userboxes made by you to my page. But the alignment has become a bit crooked. Can you please check and advise. Thanks -- Lost(talk) 09:38, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yes they are ok now. Thanks -- Lost(talk) 08:23, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi again Casmith, thanks a lot for your wonderful words on my recently concluded RFA. I have found you to be very willing to help and doing lots of gnome work. Thanks again... Do let me know if I can assist with anything -- Lost(talk) 17:47, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Basic lists
Don't worry, I'll be working on these a lot. Oh, and thank you for having faith in me, I appreciate that. By the way, here's a project you might be interested in: User:The Transhumanist/Virtual classroom; take a look and let me know what you think. I built it while taking a break from the list project. Stubs
Hello,
Thank you for your stub submission. You may wish to note that it is preferable to use a stub template from Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Stub types instead of using simply {{stub}}, if you can.
Thanks! Ksbrown 18:22, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

I have noticed that you have closed this RfA attempt early. However, it says it was closed on the 10th December, when it is the 9th today. Could you please clarify this? -- Casmith 789 09:58, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
