Articles for deletion nomination of 2 the kicker
[edit]I have nominated 2 the kicker, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2 the kicker. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. elektrikSHOOS 18:43, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.
There are two issues with this:
- You may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
- Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.
Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guideline to avoid editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. elektrikSHOOS 18:43, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User talk:Elektrik Shoos. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Did you read WP:NOTMADEUP? elektrikSHOOS 19:51, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- Your article was deleted by an admin here. I have looked at the deleted text; the deletion was wholly correct and I would have taken the exact same approach that he did. A description of a card game which you have invented is completely non-encyclopedic. While I can appreciate your disappointment, we do insist that our editors follow wikipedia policy both in the content of their articles and in their comments to other editors. Your comment to Elektrik Shoos is not acceptable. Please bear this in mind in future.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Anthony.bradbury (talk • contribs) 20:06, July 26, 2010
- OK, no permanent harm done. Could I suggest that you make a point of reading the notability guidelines at WP:NN? Happy wikying. Feel free to come to mt talk page for advice if the need arises. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 20:26, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
- Adding
{{unblock-un|your new username here}}
on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page. - At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
- Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
- Adding
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. -- Cirt (talk) 19:05, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
