Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Carolynweekes, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Moving pages

[edit]

In the future, do not move pages. You're a very new user and the edits you've made will require administrators to cleanup that mess. You are welcome to ask for help if you have questions about how to accomplish something. Chris Troutman (talk) 00:59, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It was a mistake. It was not meant to leave my editing space and I am searching for ways to have it returned there. Carolynweekes (talk) 01:02, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Right now your work is in draft space, which is fine. I can replace the userspace template with the proper draft one, if you like. It is likely no will edit your draft so long as you don't submit it (which would require you pressing a specific button to do so). Again, an administrator can move your draft back into your userspace if you prefer. Chris Troutman (talk) 01:06, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The proper draft page would be great, that was initially what I was attempting to create. I have also contacted an administrator. Sorry for this mishap. Carolynweekes (talk) 01:13, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Done Your draft is at Draft:Llewellyn Weekes. I recommend that you do not submit your draft until you are certain it's ready, but please submit the draft before your class is at an end. It will take awhile for a reviewer to get to it and they will likely ask you to make changes before it can be published. We hope that you will continue to contribute to Wikipedia long after you have your grade; submitting articles for review is always a time-intensive process.
