Reference errors on 3 May
[edit]Hello, I'm ReferenceBot. I have automatically detected that an edit performed by you may have introduced errors in referencing. It is as follows:
- On the Eurovision Song Contest's Greatest Hits page, your edit caused a cite error (help). (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:23, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- Your help desk question did not get a response, but if a parameter is not present in an infobox, it will not show up. Every infobox has a list of parameters and if you want one that is not there, it has to be added. In this case, it would be Template:Infobox Song Contest. I find it strange that "producer" is not one of the parameters, but if you look at the credits of some movies or shows, there are many producers.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:12, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
- Making a change to a template is not something that a newcomer to Wikipedia should attempt. I have gone ahead and asked for help, because I've never tried to do this and I've been around nine years.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:20, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
- Also, I see you have been advised to provide a source for your information.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:22, 4 May 2016 (UTC)

- @Vchimpanzee: I have just had a look at the article Eurovision Song Contest's Greatest Hits which had multiple producers. And what we did on there was only list the exec producer in the infobox, and the others were mentioned within the article itself. If a new parameter is going to be required, then I would ask AxG who regularly updates the template; or if you are able to update it yourself, then feel free to do so. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Eurovision Song Contest's Greatest Hits, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Wes Mouse ✒ 10:13, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
