Stats in football players' infoboxes and update of career stats
[edit]Hi.
When you update the stats in football players' infoboxes please remember that you should also update the timestamps as of when the stats are correct. This is done by updating |pcupdate=
(or |club-update=
) parameter when updating club appearances and goals, or |ntupdate=
(or |nationalteam-update=
) when updating national team appearances and goals. The easiest way to do this is to use five tildes, which automatically converts to the current time. For example |club-update=~~~~~
.
When you update the career statistics please remember that you should also update that timestamp as well to a time when the stats are correct. This is done by manually updating the date above or below the statistics table. By doing this we show when the stats were last updated and it prevents other editors from accidentally updating the stats again.
This is done to show other editors when the stats were last updated and prevent them from accidentally updating the stats again, and also it shows readers that it has been updated.
Please keep this in mind. Thank you. Qed237 (talk) 16:11, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
- Please remember to update the time stamp. --Jaellee (talk) 17:48, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Greetings. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Jota (footballer), did not appear to be constructive and has been or will be reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Per #Stats in football players' infoboxes and update of career stats. Mattythewhite (talk) 15:11, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Heurelho Gomes. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted or removed.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Per #Stats in football players' infoboxes and update of career stats. Mattythewhite (talk) 23:05, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Juan Carlos Paredes. Your edits have been or will be reverted or removed.

. Mattythewhite (talk) 00:41, 9 February 2016 (UTC)Live updates
[edit]Hi.
Please do not update statistics or scores while a match is in progress. Instead, wait until the match has finished before updating. At WikiProject Football there is a consensus not to add live scores and also a consensus not to update any statistics while a match is in progress. Without live updates it is easier to avoid duplicate information and errors from being published on the article.
Please keep this in mind. Thank you. Qed237 (talk) 15:31, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Please listen to other editors.
You made four edits yesterday to the infoboxes of West Bromwich Albion players.
At two of the four - Craig Dawson and Craig Gardner - you got the stats wrong.
At Gardner, you also set the |club-update=
correct-as-of date to a time before his latest match kicked off.
If you don't understand what you're doing wrong, please either ask for help or leave the infoboxes alone until you do understand.
Thank you for listening. Struway2 (talk) 10:46, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
[edit]Hello, Carloskolitsis. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Ben Foster (footballer). Statistics do not match the cited source. Mattythewhite (talk) 00:08, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Fernando Torres, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Again, not consulting sources before updating statistics. If you had, you would have seen that Torres had played in a Champions League match before the date of your update. Mattythewhite (talk) 09:53, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
Club infobox dates
[edit]Hi, when updating club infobox stats you should update the |club-update=

parameter by adding five tildes (~~~~~), which generates the specific time the update was made. You should not write out the date manually. Thanks, Mattythewhite (talk) 21:37, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

The article Jesús Hernández (footballer) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. WikiVirusC(talk) 17:45, 10 July 2017 (UTC)

I've reverted you twice at the aforementioned article because of WP:FOOTY/Players. I would recommend reading there. It means that Soteldo's apps at Santos should include league and state league, which corresponds to Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Campeonato Paulista. All players who featured in Brazilian football should be included this way. Cheers, MYS77 ✉ 15:33, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
