Image copyright problem with Image:Snowcat.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Snowcat.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Image copyright problem with Image:Histxt1.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Histxt1.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Hetar 23:48, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Original Hot 97 logo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Original Hot 97 logo.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image copyright problem with Image:Waltonhswcatgrad.gif
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Waltonhswcatgrad.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation.
- Please note that a statement like "courtesy of [website]" is not sufficient evidence that the authors have actually permitted the image to be used on Wikipedia, or that they have done so in a way compatible with Wikipedia policies (for example, a permission that only extends to Wikipedia or disallows third-party commercial use is not sufficient). - Mike Rosoft 06:46, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- For a similar reason, I have nominated the file Image:Waltonview.jpg for deletion; there is no evidence that it is actually in public domain. See Images and media for deletion. - Mike Rosoft 06:55, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
In adition, please review the remaining files you have uploaded. The files Image:Original Hot 97 logo.jpg, Image:Shannon.jpg, and Image:Shannon2.jpg are claimed to be used under fair use, but have no fair use rationale. Please see our fair use policy for more details. And the file Image:Cbarbosa.jpg is, for multiple reasons, probably in violation of our fair use policy, and I have nominated it for deletion immediately. - Mike Rosoft 07:08, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Please see Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline; the template {{Non-free use rationale}} can be used for this purpose. - Mike Rosoft 07:57, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair use disputed for Image:Original Hot 97 logo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Original Hot 97 logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:21, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Neighborhoods in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn
[edit]A tag has been placed on Neighborhoods in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —Caesura(t) 22:08, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
The article Malcolm X Boulevard (Brooklyn) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Not notable just because it's named Malcolm X, the Manhattan street is more notable. Article basically describes a map.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Train2104 (talk) 19:38, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
