Speedy deletion of Eliots pools
[edit]A tag has been placed on Eliots pools, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Tim Ross (talk) 21:31, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

- Needing a few days? The thing to do is to wait until you have everything all together and then create the article. You might want to sandbox it till then Dlohcierekim 21:49, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- I've deleted this again as it made no assertion of significance and was starting to look like vandalism. I urge you to review the advice already given and to not present this again until you have an article that makes sense and is sourced. Dlohcierekim 21:52, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- Not in this instance. I will delete on sight and start adding vandalism warnings. You need to get this together off wiki and not recreate on-wiki till it's a real article about a real subject with real sources. Dlohcierekim 21:56, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- PS: A Google search turns up nothing. You are straining my ability to assume good faith with what looks like vandalism. Dlohcierekim 21:59, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Monticello Community Surgery Center
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Monticello Community Surgery Center, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. [edit]Hi, thanks for message. Comments on your draft
- it did not provide adequate independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the hospital, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the hospital claims or interviewing its management. You gave three refrences, but one was the hospital itself, and the others were just repeating what the hospital says.
- you gave some references, but they were not in-line so we can't tell what fact each is supporting. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting
- To show notability you need hard verifiable facts such as the number of employees, physiciansturnover or profits. The only hard fact you give is the floor area
- I would guess that in a US context, "MCSC openly publishes its prices on its website" is seen as a selling point and is therefor it was promotional.
- If you have a conflict of interest when editing this article, you must declare it. In particular, if you work directly or indirectly for the hospital, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly. Regardless, if you are paid directly or indirectly by the hospital, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Carcioffio. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Carcioffio|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block.
- I'm going to move your proposed text here shortly so that you can make improvements if you wish to proceed with the article
