Hi! A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. You have stepped! As a reminder, you all have today 30 Jan, Thurs. 31 Jan and Friday 1 Feb to work in the lab. As we made a lot of progress toward the first week goals (at least in Wikipedia) in class on Tuesday, you might finish the first week's goals before the end of your Friday class time. If so, I recommend that you check out the two pages associated with WikiProject Mexico WP:MEXICO and Wikipedia:WikiProject_Mexico/Community. One thing you will need to do over the course of the semester is interact with other Wikipedians including those associated with this community. One way to do this is to make contributions to these two pages.

Face to Face Class on Feb 5

[edit]

I just realized (duh!) that we do not have classes on Monday Feb 4th. Because of this, I would like to have class on Tuesday Feb 5 so we can see how things are going and to arrange the second week's goals. Thanks! Thelmadatter (talk) 15:28, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Important Message about attendance

[edit]

After being a little behind on checking lab attendance, I am dismayed to find that none of you have been registering into the LLRC (lab) like you should. I have to take that to mean that you are not attending. Please re-read the contract I had you guys sign at the beginning of the class. You have only 10 absences. We have been meeting now for 2 weeks with 4 F2F (presencial) class sessions including yesterday, Feb 11. Be sure you attend your lab sessions from today on. [edit]

You may want to take a look at a discussion I am having with Allie on my talk page about some of the student articles. It is an interesting concern I had not considered before. Thelmadatter (talk) 00:59, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Municipalities vs Seats

[edit]

Hello! I am having a discussion with the teacher about the articles of municipalities and municipal seats. Can you join? Your comments will be very helpful since we still cannot get a concensus and I think is very important to get this clear. The page is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Mexico/Strategy See you in class! --Judith Soto | Talk 18:44, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
