Orphaned non-free image (Image:Picture world class wreckin cru dr dre yella lonzo clintel world class back.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Picture world class wreckin cru dr dre yella lonzo clintel world class back.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 10:19, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Dream Team Records, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Nyttend 13:47, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Electrobeat Crew
[edit]A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Electrobeat Crew, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thank you. --Geniac 17:44, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
Articles for deletion
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It would be appreciated if you would not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Electrobeat Crew. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. --Geniac 15:59, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Gary Numan articles
[edit]Hi there. Appreciate the efforts you're making on I, Assassin and, by the looks of the links you've put in the main Gary Numan page, other albums shortly. However please remember that this is an encyclopedia that has certain standards. For instance album titles are always italicised, as in Telekon, Dance, etc. Also album articles on Wikipedia follow standard formats, which you can see by looking at the other Gary Numan album articles I've linked above. You can always copy the infobox and headings from those articles and adapt them to the articles you create. The main album article you've worked on, I, Assassin, doesn't follow those standards. It's also not very encyclopedic in tone - it appears to rely on opinion and personal interpretation rather than straightforward facts, and it contains no references or citations. Again, if you look over existing Numan album articles, or read up on standards and guidelines at WP:Album, you'll get a better feel for writing at Wikipedia. One other thing to remember is that when people revert an edit of yours with a reason in the Edit Summary, it's a good idea to discuss if you really want to put the info back, rather than simply revert again with no reason. Feel free to drop by my talk page to discuss or ask questions. Cheers, Ian Rose 16:09, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Commercial use of Image:I,Assassin.jpg
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:I,Assassin.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:I,Assassin.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:I,Assassin.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 20:41, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:Picture world class wreckin cru dr dre yella clintel pomotion.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Picture world class wreckin cru dr dre yella clintel pomotion.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:09, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Hi there. As a fellow Numan fan who noticed the new article while on new page patrol, I took the liberty of editing the Tubeway Army page to link to the new article and adding a link to the disambiguation page for The Plan. Thanks, and happy editing! --Finngall talk 15:59, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- I've also added links to your other new articles on Numan albums to the relevant disambiguation pages. Keep up the good work! --Finngall talk 16:17, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Non-free use disputed for Image:Berserkernuman.jpg
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Berserkernuman.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:40, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Machine Trilogy
[edit]Machine Trilogy, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Machine Trilogy satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Machine Trilogy and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Machine Trilogy during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Ian Rose 05:12, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I voted in the AfD, and I'm sorry for voting delete. You've put a lot of work into Wikipedia and I hate seeing something like this article go. But, all articles have to have external sources and verifiability, and be free of original research - I hear this comes straight from the lawyers. And it also gets rid of the omnipresent "non-professionalism" accusations. So anyway, I really hope you can come along in the next couple days and add sources to this article, so you can ensure that the research you did wasn't in vain. Speedy deletion of Giant Spiders
[edit]A tag has been placed on Giant Spiders, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. —Ignatzmicetalkcontribs 21:47, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Grandmaster Lonzo
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Grandmaster Lonzo, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Fails WP:MUSIC; only one single release claimed
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
