Please restrain your editing

[edit]

Hello Canadianpacific, I note you have identified as an employee of a related company to articles you are editing. Please read WP:COI at your earliest convenience. It is likely that you will be asked to change your user name also, as it may violate our policiy. And to perhaps answer another question, your privileged position as an employee may give you access to internal documents or permission to copy web content, however we require all information to be verifiably published elsewhere, in a reliable source, and for copies of material published elsewhere to be used, they must either be short enough to comply with our non-free content policy or explicitly released under a compatible license, as outlined at this page. Until we get some of these things straightened out, it might be best of you stick to talk pages for now. Regards! Franamax (talk) 23:36, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:30, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
