Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Canadianji, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to complete the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit the Teahouse to ask questions or seek help.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome! I suggest you do fewer edits and take more care with them - I've been looking at your edits, and too many seem to be against policy. EG: don't WP:LINK "United States", don't add 2nd links to the same thing. And so on. Don't be too amazed if you are getting reverted. Johnbod (talk) 16:18, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, first I want to understand the dispute between you and the anonymous user on the page of Halo. You are preventing an edit that isn't irrelevant just because it hasn't been changed since ten years, sounds a bit illogical.Canadianji (talk) 18:36, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If he want to change the picture at the top he should raise it on talk. The one he wants to stick there is pretty terrible imo. The 2nd pic is already Indian (which seems to be his key point), as are several others in the article. Johnbod (talk) 22:08, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Your argument seems to be hollow,if necessary I will intervene and go against you.Canadianji (talk) 04:56, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Mahatma Gandhi was the first to advocate non-violence in Politics, there is no point of making comments such as "were all people before Gandhi violent?". The history knows about Buddha and Mahavira, but their idea never influenced politics.Canadianji (talk) 05:00, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Vegetarianism

[edit]

Hello, please do not remove content as you gave done in Vegetarianism article without a valid reason. (Highpeaks35 (talk) 20:48, 10 July 2018 (UTC))[reply]

Hinduism and Buddhism doesn't openly support the idea of vegetarianism. Hence the pictures need to be removed asap!Canadianji (talk) 11:37, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The images are related to these sections. The article is not about Hindu diet or Buddhist diet. The article is about vegetarian diets in these religions. You are clearly trying to be unconstructive. (Highpeaks35 (talk) 11:57, 11 July 2018 (UTC))[reply]
Gain consensus, your edit of pictures is fine but it is unnecessarily throwing weight disguising them as vegetarian religions(which is false). Right, the article is about vegetarianism and don't push povs. Canadianji (talk) 12:04, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No, the sections clearly states, these are not vegetarian religions. But vegetarianism is notable in their diet. You are making unwarranted claims against me and using personal attacks which is not acceptable. (Highpeaks35 (talk) 12:09, 11 July 2018 (UTC))[reply]
Can you give an example of that personal attack?Canadianji (talk) 12:17, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Iran. Flat Out (talk) 02:27, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It is very much sourced, check properly using two eyes.Canadianji (talk) 11:23, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Bogus sources don't count. Stop wasting everyone's time, if you're not here to contribute positively to the project please go and find something useful to do with your time. Flat Out (talk) 11:50, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Then what prevented you from informing about the issue of validity of sources on talk page rather than threatening? Please don't use Wikipedia as a battleground!!!Canadianji (talk)

Some user named Flat Out has been consistently putting false allegations on my talk page and threatening me without proper study and knowledge; and civilized discussion on grounds of substance. I request User:Sphilbrick to intervene.Canadianji (talk) 11:30, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I suggest intervention, too, but against you, for repeatedly adding unsourced/OR/POV material on multiple articles, in spite of many warnings from other editors (see page history of this talk page). And socking, using obviously related Special:Contributions/Skarduji to support you when vandalizing Skardu (Canadianji, Skarduji). Your edit on Iran, claiming that Iran was conquered by the Mauryan Emire is total BS, not suported even on the article about that empire (the western edge of the greatest extent of the Mauryan Empire was Baluchistan, i.e. Pakistan, and possibly a tiny bit of what is now southeastern Iran, which is very far from the country of Iran having been conquered...). - Tom | Thomas.W talk 12:09, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Then what do you have to say about the page of Maurya Empire which clearly mentions about Iran as a part of it? Check it out.Canadianji (talk) 12:22, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Use your talk page, this is not a chatpage!Canadianji (talk) 12:22, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

well, Canadianji, you've certainly been busy, and I'm sorry to further colour your talk; but I must ask what the point of this was? If you don't think the picture suits the article, then feel free to open a thread on the talk page and re-establish a consensus; but your edit-summary ("Kindly please provide links in your picture)") suggests you think that not providing links in a picture is a valid reason for its removal. It isn't, so I have restored the image. Cheers, —SerialNumber54129 paranoia /cheap sh*t room 12:33, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Great!Canadianji (talk) 12:36, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Great!, Adding link would only had made it better;this was the only reason to remove it. No worries anyway.Canadianji (talk) 12:36, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I added links, but next time just request changes or additions on the article or user talk page. Clean Copytalk 13:56, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
He has been spamming this low quality image on a number of pages, as part of his Jain POV-pushing. Anyway, now he's blocked. Johnbod (talk) 14:01, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppetry

[edit]

Editing the same articles when logged in and when not logged in (as an IP user) is sockpuppetry. It looks very much like you should keep this in mind. Clean Copytalk 14:00, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
