Your GA nomination of Vancouver

[edit]

Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I am glad to be reviewing the article Vancouver you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 25 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. elphantsandbacon Care to talk? 12:40, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I just made a couple of edits to the above article you created, however I didn't notice until now that you had just created it, only edited 1 minute prior and were still editing. Had I caught this, I never would have stepped right in and edited as that wasn't my intent. If you prefer, just revert the edits I made and I'll move on. Once again, sorry if my edits seemed too quick. Cmr08 (talk) 00:58, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

NBL Canada Map

[edit]

Hi CanadianWikiUser, I don't know anything about map labeling either, but I checked and that's just a template pasted into the article. If you are looking for help, you should probably use the talk page associated with the template as there is a better chance of it being seen by someone who knows what to do. Also, you could check the templates history and see what editors have edited the template in the past and message them with your request. I'm sure whatever editor has made these moves in the past would be able to help you. Anyways, the template is Template:NBL Canada labeled map. I hope this helps. Potential admin

[edit]

Hi, I notice you're on Wikipedia:List of administrator hopefuls. Wikipedia would benefit from more admins. If you have been editing for more than 12 months (preferably 24+ months), and have been editing fairly consistently for the past 6 months (preferably 12+ months) with at least 100 edits a month (this tool will help) - or an explanation for any gaps, and haven't been blocked in the past three years - or a good explanation for a recent block, don't have a recent history of edit warring or arguing with other editors, feel you can explain why you wish to be an admin, can demonstrate some understanding of Wikipedia's procedures and processes, or know where to go for guidance, and are confident enough to go through a RfA, please get in touch with me. We can talk about it some more, and if all looks OK, I'll nominate you. SilkTork ✔Tea time 09:22, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I notice you're not active at the moment. No worries. I'll mark you down on my list as currently inactive, but if you do become more active, please do get in touch so we can talk about how likely you are to meet the criteria to become an admin, or what you need to be doing to improve your chances. Regards SilkTork ✔Tea time 19:25, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

New 10,000 Challenge for Canada

[edit]

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! Cheers. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Tim Bethune's Wiki

[edit]

Please do not publish false information about me on Wikipedia. I did not have my funding taken away because of my testimony at the Dublin inquiry.

I was a retired athlete at the time everything happened. Read the report. Please don't copy the same information onto my page that you placed on others (Mowat & Sokolowski).

All my performances were clean and I did not receive any sanctions, as I was a private citizen.

Please do not make any more additions to my wiki page, or else I will have no choice but to take further action. JTB400 (talk) 06:12, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I will presume that this is Tim Bethune that has written the above statement, and will respond accordingly. I conducted a closer reading of the Dubin Inquiry report, and I see that I did make an error; in particular, I did not realize that you had retired from competition at the time that you used performance enhancing drugs, and that you were therefore a private citizen and no longer subject to applicable anti-doping policies. Please accept my sincere apology for this error and know that this mistake was not intentional. I do my best to ensure that my information is accurate and my sources are clear, especially in matters of public reputation such as this, but clearly mistakes do happen from time-to-time. I will seek to do better in the future.
I cannot promise that I will not make any edits to the Tim Bethune page in the future, but as it stands do not see any necessity to. In such event, I will be diligent in my editing to ensure no error of this sorts occurs again.
Again, my sincere apologies, and thank you for taking the time to write to me. CanadianWikiUser (talk) 00:23, 4 April 2020 (UTC).[reply]
