User talk:CanadianSwede
Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, CanadianSwede! I am Trafford09 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. Thank you for your contributions. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Some reading
[edit]Hi. Glad to see you're in full editing flow!
Thought you might want to glance at wp:ES though. Cheers, Trafford09 (talk) 23:29, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
"Always provide an Edit Summary" (ES)
[edit]Hi. What I meant by my previous nudge was that you should be adhering to the guideline Help:Edit Summary#Always provide an Edit Summary - which you are not doing. Trafford09 (talk) 18:27, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message that you'll do so from now.
- One more thing - when you 'sign' your comments on an editor's talk page, please also include the date and time stamp. This is done by typing four tildes ~~~~ , which will append your username and timestamp, like I've done here. You can use 'Show preview' to see how it will appear, before you save your change. Thanks, Trafford09 (talk) 18:52, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, you're getting the hang of it! Your last signature was hunky-dorey, of course!
- Always more tips: to indent your replies, add one more ':' in front of your comment.
- Each ":" adds a level of indentation (try a dummy Edit on this section, to see how I've indented my replies).
- Keep it up :) Trafford09 (talk) 19:08, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:00, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
