Hi Canacert, pls note that you edit has been reverted. The P4P ranking is as per existing date as I and a few editors updated the rankings for UFC. Every week on Tuesday (US date) the rankings will be updated if there is a fight the weekend before. Pls observe how things work here and understand the editing in Wikipedia. I suggest your to take WP:TWA to understand some of the fundamental Wikipedia guidelines. Also pls read the links provided (highlighted texts) on the Welcome message which I sent you. Pls pop by to my talk page if you need any assistance as I am here to help. Be safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 22:30, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- I understand now reverting the edits in regards to pound for pound rankings, but I am confused by edits regarding Leon's fight in UFC 278. To say it is "one of the best knockouts of all time" is generally a strange statement. Best knockouts across all combat sports in history? Also, the reference link provided to that statement doesn't have any substance. Furthermore, the statement "best comebacks to ever be pulled off in combat sports history" is equally as strange. There are too many comebacks in combat sports to rank them and there will also be a lot of unknown comebacks in all of combat sport history.
- That is why I simply changed it too "regarded as one of the best comebacks in UFC history" as well as providing a better reference. The original reference is lacking substance. Canacert (talk) 22:38, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- I reverted your edit based on the P4P. I can understand the existing and your info (both based by sources). As long as it is not saying "the best" knockout or "the best" come back, it will be ok. You can add back the info (with source) and also keep the current claim (do not delete the source). Thank you for your edit and welcome to Wikipedia. best. Cassiopeia talk 22:47, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I understand, I made a slight change to the current claim. You mean to say I can add back the info AND keep the current claim? I cannot do both because it was a slight change that I made. Thank you for your help. Canacert (talk) 23:01, 16 December 2023 (UTC)

- You can add your info and also keep the current info (note: I have reverted your edit, so the current info on the article is "one of the best knockout". Both one of the best knockout and one of the best comeback can be used as it is widely source. Cassiopeia talk 23:13, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hmmm yes but my edit updated it to UFC rather than combat sports. I'm not sure that I agree that it is widely sourced as one of the best knockouts or comebacks in combat sport history. Also, to say combat sport history is an enormous amount of history that includes sports media outlets won't even know all about. It is more accurate to say UFC rather than combat sports history. Furthermore, the current reference does not have detail backing up the claim.Canacert (talk) 23:16, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- It is saying you left a message but I do not see one Canacert (talk) 23:26, 16 December 2023 (UTC)

- I just read the existing source, it states "one of the most memorable knockout" and not "one of the best knockout". You can add back your info and remove the current info and source. Here is the info and source you added
- The manner in which Edwards won the fight is regarded by many as one of the best comebacks to ever be pulled off in UFC history.[1]
- If any editors disagree with you a few times (if they present with independent, reliable source) then go to the article talk page and discuss as this is the manner Wikipedia due with disagreement to avoid edit warring.

[edit]Hello, I'm Cassiopeia. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, CallMiner, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Cassiopeia talk 22:33, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Canacert, you can use the horizontal format of Template:Cite web for inline citation if the source is from the web. Be safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 22:48, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- I was reading Wikipedia:Citing sources, but I am not sure how to decide which type of citation to use (for example, short or full, inline or general). How do we determine that? Canacert (talk) 22:57, 16 December 2023 (UTC)

- You can use this and manfully add all the info as per source Template:Cite web "Most commonly used parameters in horizontal format" - Or you can enable Wikipedia:VisualEditor and all you have to do is to past the URL of the source and it will automatically fill the necessary field except sometimes the author. Cassiopeia talk 23:10, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- I understand that, but when I look at the Citing sources reference it discusses several types of references used when editing sources. How do we determine when to use a short citation or full citation? Or when to use an inline citation or a general citation? Canacert (talk) 23:13, 16 December 2023 (UTC)

- Sorry I was not clear. There are many ways to cite a source. The most common one is as per above (use citeweb template of use Visual Editor. Cassiopeia talk 23:34, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
