License tagging for Image:RFF header dotted 06.gif.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:RFF header dotted 06.gif.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:07, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Please stop removing Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages-- it is considered vandalism. You may comment at the respective page if you oppose an article's deletion. Thanks. RexNL 22:50, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
RFF
[edit]Because it does not appear to be notable enough to meet the criteria of WP:WEB. Please remember, this is an encyclopedia, not a general directory of internet resources. Inclusion in an encyclopedia requires a certain level of notability. Akradecki 22:51, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Then why allowing photo.net and smugmug.com ??
- Thanks for pointing these out. But, if you're going to nominate these, you have to complete the process. I've gone ahead and done that. Akradecki 23:27, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Please stop
[edit]Please stop nominating random articles for deletion. RexNL 23:17, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
They are not random. They fall into EXACTLY the same category of sites that YOU claim rangefinderforum.com falls into - and should therefore be deleted. No? I would love to hear your comments. — Preceding unsigned comment added by User:Camerabuff (talk • contribs)
- I've completed the nom process. Thanks for pointing these out. For RexNL: Camerabuff is a new user upset that I nommed his article, so he threw tags at the others. I've completed the process...we can let the community decide. Akradecki 23:26, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Come now, calling for the deletion of multiple photo and movie sharing sites? This is what's called on wikipedia disrupting wikipedia to illustrate a point. And if you do find other articles that really meet similar criteria to your own, they likely won't be deleted before rangefinderforum.com is, because its deleted debate was started first, and none are possible for speedy deletion. Also, see the boilerplate notice I left for you below for something about an image likely ment for that article. --Kevin_b_er 06:03, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:RFF header dotted 06.gif.jpg)
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:RFF header dotted 06.gif.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --Kevin_b_er 06:03, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
