I read in this article that "it is agreed that her lowest note is c3", and after searching for almost 5 months on the internet to find Whitney's highest note, I think it is posted on Youtube and it is from her first tour in 1986 to promote the album "Whitney Houston" - "The Greatest Love Tour". In more than one ocasion she sang the song "I'm Changing" in 1986, for an example in California, and also in New York concerts. In the New York performance she hits a very high note, I think it is her highest note, between 6.34 minutes and 6.36 minutes on that video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRLpzTvpD9o .Using a musical instrument like a piano, we can know exactly what is that high note and after that, we can talk about her range with more exactness. (from c3 to ...?), If someone with the necessary musical instruments could do it, that would be very useful and important. It's sad that a voice like hers isn't yet well described and classified, cause her career started in 1985, and other younger singers, like Christina Aguilera for example, have their voices classified with her range.
