The Role of Indian Noncombatants in Custer’s Strategy

[edit]

Hi Califa - I should have started this Talk Page after you posted the material on the LBH page. My reversion of a lot of it was not meant at all to reflect on the scholarly excellence of your work - it was a matter of relevance only. I hope you saw my comments on the LBH Talk page. I think the whole endeavor is a long-overdue addition to that article, and I think you've integrated your sourced points wonderfully well into the Washita article. regards, Sensei48 (talk) 20:24, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Clarify

[edit]

Thank you for correcting your typo on Washita River. Had I been able to provide clarification myself, I would have done so. However, since I don't have a copy of the book readily available, and the limited Google search preview shows the phrase "wiped out Black Kettle's village" on page 200, but neither the phrase "destruction of Black Kettle's village" nor even the single word "destruction", it would have required guesswork to remove either of the two quotation marks, even though it was obvious that one of them was extra.
