AfC notification: Draft:Rye Water Valley has a new comment

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Rye Water Valley. Thanks! SeoR (talk) 02:13, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I will do some more work on it to show the difference - the Rye River/Ryewater is part of the Rye Water Valley SAC but the SAC includes more than the river itself. Some of the material I put in the Leixlip Spa page might be as useful in the Rye SAC feature - the geological features that resulted in the tufaceous springs led to the creation of the Spa, and the features of the spring flora/fauna ecosystem around and the close to the Spa are part of the reason for the SAC, as well as the features relating to the river. It's one of the list of Irish SAC pages that didn't have information so far. I'll disentangle it! CaitNi (talk) 17:16, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@SeoR Thanks! I agree, title shouldn't include SAC, it's in the text and in the list of SACs that links there already anyway, but I think it has to retain the /Carton part, as thats in the official name of the SAC, as Rye Water Valley/Carton. https://www.npws.ie/protected-sites/sac/001398 I'll add more on the Carton side of the site later! @SeoR Thank you so much for the help in getting the page in order! CaitNi (talk) 22:01, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You are most welcome; it was a pleasure to give a little help; you do fine work. And this article can still grow nicely, to a B or higher, with photos, a map or diagram, further citation of more detailed papers, etc. I hope you stick around, there is so much scope here to help and share. SeoR (talk) 23:17, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There is a list of plenty more Irish SACs there that needs detail, I'll try updating some of those! CaitNi (talk) 23:29, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this interesting (and referenced!) article on Red Bog; I've learnt something about quaking bogs too. Klbrain (talk) 22:12, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Errit Lough, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Ice Age and Boyle River. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Carrownagappul Bog

[edit]

Thank you for your article on the Carrownagappul Bog. I hesitate to be at all critical of new editors, but I think it is necessary to point out that critters such as red grouse aren't capitalized on Wikipedia, per MOS:BIOCAPS. Abductive (reasoning) 07:53, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Don't hesitate, good advice and very much appreciated! I will familiarise myself with MOS:BIOCAPS and remedy the situation. CaitNi (talk) 08:00, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
