A belated welcome!

[edit]
Sorry for the belated welcome, but the Boddingtons is still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Caiaphodus. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! --Demiurge1000 (talk) 21:08, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. A can of Boddingtons seem very appropriate for a Friday evening. Cheers! Caiaphodus (talk) 21:34, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Blyton

[edit]

You're quite welcome to help tackle the review but can you note that it's been addressed on the GA review to avoid me having to look at the already addressed points twice? Cheers.♦ Dr. Blofeld

I haven't been trying to tackle the GA review, indeed I didn't even notice one had been started. I was simply fixing a few things I came across that needed fixing. Probably best if I leave the article to you now. Caiaphodus (talk) 20:35, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It would be lovely if Caiaphorus were able to help the article along a bit further; Blofeld, you are stumbling around as though you own a top secret volcanic island or something. I did actually have some totally tantential comments to make about Blyton, but really it would be best if Caiaphodus were able to fix things that they are best at? --Demiurge1000 (talk) 22:28, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Anon., Charlesworth Bodies was a business, Charlesworth Bodies Limited owned it. Mind if I revert your mistaken edit? Thanks, Eddaido (talk) 04:08, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Which edit are you referring to? Caiaphodus (talk) 10:59, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Vauxhall Motors

[edit]

I notice that you have made a change in this article that troubles me. Where formerly this article supplied for all models starting and ending dates when they are the same year you have replaced these two dates with just one year. You know what you mean, so do I (because I know the answer) but many readers will presume, this being Wikipedia, that this sole year will be either just the first or last year of production because Wikipedian editors have not been able to find the whole set of facts. Has this been discussed anywhere and any rulings promulgated? If not then I think this part of your changes should be reverted because we lose significant information. Thanks in advance, Eddaido (talk) 21:25, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see that any information is lost, but if it troubles you then just go back to what was there before. Caiaphodus (talk) 17:47, 26 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation

A gummi bear holding a sign that says "Thank you"
Thank you for using VisualEditor and sharing your ideas with the developers.

Hello, Caiaphodus,

The Editing team is asking very experienced editors like you for your help with VisualEditor. The team has a list of top-priority problems, but they also want to hear about small problems. These problems may make editing less fun, take too much of your time, or be as annoying as a paper cut. The Editing team wants to hear about and try to fix these small things, too.

You can share your thoughts by clicking this link. You may respond to this quick, simple, anonymous survey in your own language. If you take the survey, then you agree your responses may be used in accordance with these terms. This survey is powered by Qualtrics and their use of your information is governed by their privacy policy.

More information (including a translateable list of the questions) is posted on wiki at mw:VisualEditor/Survey 2015. If you have questions, or prefer to respond on-wiki, then please leave a message on the survey's talk page.

Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 18:11, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dorothy Levitt

[edit]

Hi, I noticed you just made a few edits to Dorothy Levitt. It's an article that I'm interested in doing some fairly extensive work on as I think she's a fascinating character. If you need any help or have some specific ideas on it, please just leave a message on my talk page. Could we perhaps collaborate if you do want to work on it? SagaciousPhil - Chat 20:22, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I was doing some work on Napier & Son and came across her mentioned there, a fascinating character indeed. Caiaphodus (talk) 20:27, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the further edits you've made to Dorothy Levitt, they are much appreciated. I usually leave sorting out the lead section until after the article is pretty well developed so that it can summarise the general content in the article. I see you've included a couple of quotes in the lead; that's something I generally try to avoid as they will require refs immediately adjacent. Please, if you have any questions, or if I can help at all, just leave a message on my talk page as I'll try to help as much as I can. SagaciousPhil - Chat 22:24, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Publishing Hippocampus in WikiJournal

[edit]

Hi,

Would you like to join as an author in the project of having the article Hippocampus published in WikiJournal of Medicine? WikiJournal of Medicine is an open-access journal with no publication charges of any kind. Published articles will be given standard citation formats and DOI codes so that they can be cited by external works. Before publication, all articles undergo peer review, so after this is done I would like you to join the task of amending any issues that arise from it. I found you among the most active contributors to the article [1]. To be displayed among the main authors of the publication in WikiJournal of Medicine, you need to agree and sign the "Submission letter", and you should also write your real name. In any case, we'll attribute contributors by a link to the article history of Hippocampus.

Cheers,

Mikael Häggström (talk) 08:31, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Editor-in-chief, WikiJournal of Medicine

This article has now been peer reviewed by a neuroscientist, discovering several issues: Wikiversity:The Hippocampus#Peer review comments
I still hope you can help out in amending these issues. Mikael Häggström (talk) 14:32, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
