Help me

A while ago I uploaded an image (Image:Cutkd badge.gif) which was subsequently deleted. I have since misplaced the image and require it for another purpose. Would a copy of it be located anywhere on this site or has it been deleted entirely, and if there is one, please could an admin retrieve it for me. Thanks--CUTKD 22:44, 23 March 2007 (UTC)}}

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Clearing an autoblock

Due to the nature of the block applied we need additional information before we can decide whether to unblock you. It is very likely that you are not personally blocked. If you are prevented from editing, it may be because you are autoblocked or blocked because of your IP address. Without further details there is nothing further we can do to review or lift your block. Please follow these instructions:

  1. If you have a Wikipedia account, please ensure that you are logged in.
Your account name will be visible in the top right of this page if you are.
If it isn't, try bypassing your web browser's cache.
  2. Try to edit the Sandbox.
  3. If you are still blocked, copy the {{unblock-ip|...}} code generated for you under the "IP blocked?" section. This is usually hidden within the "What do I do now?" section. If so, just click the "[show]" link to the right hand side to show this text.
  4. Paste the code at the bottom of your user talk page and click save.

If you are not blocked from editing the sandbox then the autoblock on your IP address has already expired and you can resume editing. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 09:31, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption.

Speedy deletion of Markus Jiskra

A tag has been placed on Markus Jiskra requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Skomorokh 09:05, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Feat Factory

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Feat Factory, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No sources to support the notability of 'Fear Factory' if the British team do train their it might be notable but sources are needed.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Simply deleting the tag doesn't make it go away or hide. That warning is strictly for readers to know the article is potentially nothing but vandalism; you don't think the nomination really lies elsewhere? Daniel Christensen (talk) 14:18, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Userpage

I'll take a look. --  Chzz  ►  15:11, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, I don't think it can be done. If the image is taken out of the infobox, it can't be put on the right - you can't have text-pic-infobox. If you try, the pic doesn't appear until the end of the infobox, underneath it.

Same problem if I try to put it on the left within the text, because it won't appear until after the infobox.

Can you clarify what you're trying to do? Is it because you think the infobox is too long, with the picture and the logo?

--  Chzz  ►  15:18, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Adding:

I've played around with the infobox template formatting, and the only way to get the 2 images side-by-side is by messging about with the code that is generated by the infobox template. That means not using the template directly, therefore if the template got updated this particular page would have to be changed manually. I don't think that's a good idea.

One proposed solution would be to use image editing to make a single image file that contains both the logo and the picture. That might be the best answer.

If I can help further, please leave me comments on my own talk page.

Thanks, --  Chzz  ►  15:50, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Obama

I have an outline of a lengthy and legitimate article at User:THF/Obama with not a single "nutball conspiracy theory" in it. I'll draft it off-wiki this weekend. I encourage editors to participate in this project by sending me sources (or perhaps fully drafted paragraphs) rather than battling at DRV or on the Talk:Obama page about intermediate stages. If we present a fully-sourced, well-written neutral article, there shouldn't be a problem -- and if there is, it will be pretty damning of Wikipedia. THF (talk) 15:48, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Counter Vandalism

{{helpme}} I am trying to use user:Lupin's Anti Vandal tools, the code for which I have inserted at user:CUTKD/monobook.js. I would like some assistance using the "Recent IP edits" function, as at the moment I cannot use the roll-back feature in a new tab/window - each time I attempt to revert vandalism I have to click "back" to return to the page, which as I'm sure you are all aware is extremely inefficient and defeats the object of the tools. I'm also unsure of how to use the warnings feature, and how to select different grades of warning template. Thanks, C.U.T.K.D T | C 07:59, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

You can open the rollback feature in a new tab. I think the warning level is automatically chosen. fahadsadah (talk, contribs) 08:11, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
Ok so the rollback function seems to be working quite nicely (although half the time it doesn't automatically click save :S). I still can't get the warnings to work. The editing page comes up, with a "Your recent edits..." summary in place, but no warning template from me issued and no automatic save :S Any ideas what's going wrong? {{helpme}} Can someone please help me with my talk page auto-archive? It's supposed to be set-up so that anything older than a month is archived, max archive size 100K, and leaving no fewer than 10 threads in active talk. Thanks, C.U.T.K.D T | C 08:41, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

I've had a shot at fixing this; the relative link might have confused the bot. Give it 24 hours to see if it works. You should note that the bot will ignore threads with less than two timestamps, so the welcome message and the various bot warnings wil still need to be manually archived. Deion/Deioneus

Hi

Re these unexplained reverts: [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]

Deion is a dab page; Deioneus says "In Greek mythology, Deioneus (Greek: Δηιονεύς) or Deion (Greek: Δηίων) is a name attributed to the following individuals:"; I presumed the article name must be the more "usual" of the two? 58.8.15.66 (talk) 10:24, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Deion is an acceptable alternative for Deioneus, thus you could argue there was no need for you to change it in the first place. That said, you are probably right, so if you wish to change them back again, I won't revert this time. C.U.T.K.D T | C 10:29, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Hogus.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

Since the block duration is only 24 hours, there's really no point appealing it as by the time I can prove to you that the latter image was not a copyright vio, the block will have expired. That said, once I do clear my name, I will expect a full apology from those involved. C.U.T.K.D T | C 21:59, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
If you believe this block is unjustified, you are free to contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. — Aitias // discussion 22:01, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
To CUTKD: Please understand how your situation looks to an uninvolved administrator. You uploaded photo's of the Olympics that, by virtue of their quality and proximity to the events themselves, it would be quite reasonable to presume were taken from the Press pit; there is no photography date or metainformation. In almost all cases where such characteristics as these are present, the upload is a copyright violation. If you're able to prove to the contrary, then please do so, and by all means, the block will be lifted; but it's unreasonable to "expect a full apology" from all involved when you haven't provided the required information in the first place. What the hell? The user is massively abusive and has over thirty socks, many of which the user used to try to get others blocked. Seriously, how the hell can you assume good faith with someone who tries to get others blocked for nothing in his free time.— dαlus Contribs 08:15, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

No, this ban is not out of the blue. The user was previously blocked indefinitely, awhile back, for continuing to evade blocks in order to harass others. Where the hell is your good faith coming from? This user certainly doesn't deserve it. This ban is simply to make it formal, instead of the informal ban he already has.— dαlus Contribs 08:47, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Cool your jets, buddy. I was involved in no evil plots, I did not attempt to delete this article twice and behavior such as this in bordering on violation of WP:AGF, WP:C and WP:OWN. Your evil plan to have this article deleted has failed for the second time. Ha!
Your rhetorical, mocking laugh exhibits incivility and the lengths you go to champion this article (in becoming excessively defensive in apparent violation of WP:AGF, together with your apparent incivility) may appear to be a stance against those who seek to oppose an article that you created, thus bordering on making it appear as though it's your article to defend. Ok... I thought someone was initiating an investigation anyway? Or have I misread the thread? C.U.T.K.D T | C 09:18, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
I don't see anything listed (yet) in Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations. In fact, what I said to you above I should first have said to the other guy who actually "put you up to it", someone named RS. Which I will now do. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots 09:26, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Ah ok. C.U.T.K.D T | C 09:20, 28 M 09:31, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
In my latest comment on ANI, I'm essentially challenging RS or RCS or whatever it is, to find evidence for an SPI. Lots of users will support other users for whatever reason, which doesn't necessarily make them sockpuppets, even though sockpuppets will certainly do that. However, sometimes sockpuppets will even appear to oppose themselves, to divert suspicion. The many socks of Pioneercourthouse (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) provide a good example of that kind of thing, from this past Jan or Feb, whenever it was. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots 09:43, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
I answered on my talk page. You know, my username is not so difficult to remember correctly, i take offense at the way you make fun of it, especially since we already met (not IRL, to be sure). Cheers, --RCS (talk) 09:46, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
I'm not making fun of it, I actually do have trouble remembering user names unless they stand out in some way. Because I put a comment on your page, you're on my watch list for the time being, so I should be able to remember it now. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots 09:48, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

I've warned Drew about the above; however, you should stay away from saying such things, which are pretty incivil, and could be construed as personal attacks. ╟─TreasuryTaghemicycle─╢ 11:01, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Blocked

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for Disruptive editing, including the creation of the attack page User:CUTKD/List of enemies, copyright violations, and other disruption despite warnings. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

I am very sorry about some of my recent edits. I have been extremely stressed, especially when a few things didn't go my way, and whilst I appreciate that creating the "List of enemies" article was a totally reprehensible act (I know it was wrong and am very angry with myself for creating it) I did try to keep it within user space and out of the way. I hope that, upon reviewing my contributions, you see that I have been an active and willingly constructive editor most of the time, who has been prepared to perform numerous manual reverts for the better of the encyclopedia. basically, I am asking for a second chance. I know that I've done wrong, and gotten myself into a few squabbles recently, but I promise to turn that around. If unblocked, I will try to concentrate on article creation/building, especially in the area of taekwondo which I know a lot about. I would also like to continue blatant vandalism reversion, but will refrain from joining discussions for the time being, and will certainly ensure I say nothing provocative from now on.

Decline reason:

Due to how you handled the stress of editing, and being that it's the second block in appox one week; I believe you should take some time off and reflect on things. I think there will be more sympathy for an request for unblock after some time has elapsed, perhaps a few weeks. When you do ask in the future, please ensure you detail where you plan to do the article creation you speak of and give further insurance that you understand our policies on civility, copyright, etc. Nja247 07:31, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

That seems fair enough. Ok, consider me on a "blocked wikibreak" until 1st July. I shall use the month in between to reflect on life, and will then post another request around that time detailing my plans as an editor. Thanks! C.U.T.K.D T | C 09:20, 28 M 07:35, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

unblock|1=Hi everyone again. First off, a big apology for the way in which I conducted myself previously. I have had a good 40 days off wikipedia now, and I feel I have finally calmed down and am ready to resume editing if you are willing to give me a second chance. To address the points raised in the previous decline:

1. I intend to resume editing within the range of taekwondo related articles only, as my editing career began. Hopefully I won't see much controversy there. To begin with, I want to fix a few red links and grammar/layout issues such as can be seen here. Beyond that, I want to create articles about any notable contemporary athletes whom am knowlegable about, especially olympians as of 2008 Beijing. I will be particularly useful in updating their competition records and achievements. I wish to stay away from places like ANI and AIV for the time being.

2. I will be refraining from uploading any images, and certainly will not be copying and pasting material from websites. As far as copyright issues go, I am aware that I can only use images if somehow I can prove author consent, and whenver I write passages within articles, especially about contemporary athletes, I wil be sure to reference at the end any articles I have used for guidance.

Hope that clears things up, and I hope you allow me to be unblocked. I will be happy to elaborate further if required. Thanks, C.U.T.K.D T | C 09:20, 28 M 13:23, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

P.S:
3. Oh and a note on civility. I know that swearing, personal attacks and rudeness etc are unacceptable. Please rest assured I will not be indulging in that again.

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

I have decided to give you a second chance. Please do not abuse it or you will be reblocked without warning. Good luck.

First off, thanks for giving me a second chance, it is much appreciated. Secondly, {{adminhelp}}

can I ask for IP exemption back please, as per this previous request? I would be very grateful as I am often editing from shared institutional IP's which have a habit of getting blocked. Oh, and whilst you're at it, I don't think my talk page needs protection anymore (well I hope not anyway!). Cheers, C.U.T.K.D T | C 09:20, 28 M 11:42, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

As a non-administrator, I cannot fulfill your request, however I've changed your template above, and will hand it on to an administrator for review. Cheers, — Deon555talkI'm BACK! 12:10, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
I have done this. The same rules at WP:IPBE apply, and if they are abused, the right will be summarily removed. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 12:19, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
Also on this note, I'm glad to see a case of Indefinite blocking that has been overturned. You have pledged to do the right thing, and I hope you stick to that. I was especially impressed with your patients (over a month) before submitting another {{unblock}}. Good for you, and I hope this little ordeal has started you on the road to many helpful edits. Userpage protection

Hello CUTKD, I have semi-protected your userpage and talk page after a request at WP:RFPP and after looking at the page history. Threats of violence are not acceptable. If you want the protection lifted then that is your prerogative and I would be happy to do that if you wish, just leave a note on my talkpage. Regards, Woody (talk) 14:24, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Resolved

for now

Thanks for sorting this all out. I have no idea who this pest is, but they're really starting to get on my nerves; can't the admins and sysops find out who it is and ban them? I would really like this page unlocked so that normal editors can talk to me as well, especially since generally speaking it will be them I shall be dealing with when I start work on taekwondo related articles. Please can you give my talk page one last shot at being unprotected, and if we can't keep this menace at bay after that I'll concede for now. Cheers, C.U.T.K.D T | C 09:20, 28 M 13:49, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Again, as a non-admin I won't remove the tag above, but your talk page is semi-protected meaning anyone except unregistered and very new editors can still use your talk page fine. As for blocking the individual, let me have a poke through the page history and I'll see if they've been warned or blocked. If you still want it totally unprotected (to allow very new editors and unregistered IP's to edit your page), just say so and I'll get it done for you. — DeontalkI'm BACK! 13:58, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Yep, he has been blocked so there shouldn't be much more, unless the user begins editing from another IP. Did you want to keep it semi-protected, or unprotect it? Cheers, — DeontalkI'm BACK! 13:59, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
As I recall, the page has been attacked from several different IP's, which is why I played "nanny" here and asked for semi-protection, which automatically puts up a wall against all IP addresses. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots 14:15, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Fair enough, I don't see any problem leaving the semi-protection on. Maybe reduce it to a week though, and then if it re-occurs bump it back up to a month. — DeontalkI'm BACK! 14:23, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
No, it needs to stay long-term. The user was attacked many weeks ago with identically-themed "I'm gonna get you" messages. The user himself was off for a month, and as soon as he came back, the IP was there waiting for him. It needs to be be permanent until or if the user decides otherwise. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots 14:26, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
I do a bit of work over at WP:AbRep, maybe I'll have a word to the ISP? — DeontalkI'm BACK! 14:27, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
OK, whatever. It was multiple IP addresses, and maybe even some redlinks, though I don't recall for sure. It's also possible that an admin deleted some of them. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots 14:29, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I have 2 IPs close to each other (80. and 81.) and another two close to each other but far from the first. (217. and 212.) I'll get started on that. In the mean time, I'd say this is resolved. The protection stays for now, unless CUTKD requests otherwise. Cheers, — DeontalkI'm BACK! 14:55, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

{{adminhelp}} As per the above, I'd like to give this page one last shot at being totally unprotected. Hopefully even if this guy does return we can have him rangeblocked or banned somehow. Cheers. C.U.T.K.D T | C 09:20, 28 M 17:15, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Please could you request this on WP:RPP. Thanks,  Chzz  ►  17:24, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

They cannot permanently block IP addresses, and they are unlikely to give more than a very short block to a range of IP's. Semi-protection is the only way to keep that guy permanently off your page. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots 18:00, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

I'd be happy to unprotect for you, but the IP has already shown up twice today repeating the same nonsense. If you'd still like to go ahead, just let me know. TNXMan 22:48, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
Reprotected per this. Enigmamsg 11:59, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

I have nominated Ultimate Taekwondo Federation, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ultimate Taekwondo Federation. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Natet/c 12:55, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Wow, first time I've logged in in a long while, the above was a "new message". I know it's a year on, but looking at this article, and recalling what I wrote, I have a feeling the "Ultimate" part was a typo... this is what I was referring to :) C.U.T.K.D T | C 22:20, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
