Cut and paste moves
[edit]There is a proper way to move articles and that is not through cut and pasting the article to a new name. I have reversed your move. If you want to move the article you should request it at WP:RM or you can explain it on the article's talk page. GB fan 22:01, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
There might be a proper way to make a change in an article, but I did some search and it was not easy to find an answer... and for most of it I need to be a CONFIRMED user, which you don't want to grant me. I am in Marketing, not programming! I only wanted to change the name of the article since it is not appropriate anymore but I didn't find any other way other than redirect. The purpose was not to copy and paste but to delete or change the old one. User: CTCC01
- We don't delete the old name anyway. It would end up a redirect. Your reply here brings up another problem. You have a conflict of interest as your job is to market for the company you are editing the article of. GB fan 22:58, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
To be very clear about my intentions, I am not correcting/creating this page to promote my company, but to make information available to the public. Like any other content or documentation, I have to make sure that the information are correct and not outdated or give information on non existing activities. I know the concept of Wikipedia to be an active reader and I always thought that the information I was getting here was accurate and in order for it to be accurate, it has to be posted by someone who knows the subject well enough. If I have to change user name, I can do that no problem and make it more personal. --CTCC Official 23:18, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
Confirmed status
[edit]Instead of granting you confirmed status I am going to direct you to a place where you can request a file be uploaded for you, WP:FFU. GB fan 22:01, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
