[edit]Hi CPTN AWSUM! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Hi, Captain. Welcome to Wikipedia! I explained my edits in each of my edit summaries. You can see each edit and accompanying edit summary by looking at the article's edit history, by clicking the History tab at the top of the page.
Regarding the GLAAD nominations in particular, you did not cite a reliable source for that information. You cited a page of Google search results. A search engine's search results is not reliable, for one thing, because the search engine cannot maintain editorial control over the content found on those pages, and indeed, many of those websites that show up in the results do not either, like imdb, ComicVine, and other wikis. In addition, Gail Simone's name doesn't even appear anywhere on that page of search results. Another example that underlies the problem with citing Google or other websites would be that some websites merely mirror Wikipedia. For example, the information on Simone's date and place of birth was supported by a citation of another Google page, and if you look closely at that Google page, you'll see that it is merely citing Wikipedia. This is circular sourcing, which amounts to Wikipedia merely citing itself, which is not appropriate for Verifiability. Let me know if you ever have any other questions or need help editing.
