Detroit, Michigan - shootings in 2004 article
[edit]I noticed that you started an article recording individual shootings in Detroit of 2004. Out of curiosity, why do all the shootings for only one particular year (and not another) warrant its own article? Such an article in itself doesn't say anything when the same format can also apply to other cities (such as Chicago), and when others can find the information through the Detroit Police Department or FBI crime statistics. Neighborhoods in Detroit contributions
[edit]Many of the entries you've added are blank, are copyright violations of other websites (see the talk page of the article), or are not verified information from reliable sources. Please refrain from adding text from other websites. You contributions need to be orignal writings done by you (and should conform to WP:STYLE) but must be verifiably based on reliable sources.--Isotope23 17:42, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Please note, you are 1 edit away from breaking the 3 Revert Rule.--Isotope23 17:55, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Please stop copying and pasting the text of entire articles into this one. For some of the articles, the ones that are very short and stubby, it may make more sense to merge the content into this one. But for the longer articles, you should only include a brief summary of the other article in this one and include a link to the other article. And also, in those cases where there is good reason to copy text from another article--open the other article in an edit window so that you can copy the text with all of the links and formatting intact. The way you are doing it now, you are losing all of the links and formatting, and also including extraneous material like the table of contents and the section edit links. older ≠ wiser 22:50, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Once again, please stop copying unwikified text from other articles. If there is some method to the apparrent madness, please explain on Talk:Neighborhoods and projects in Detroit, Michigan. older ≠ wiser 00:44, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
- Please use a talk page--any talk page--to discuss your attempts to change articles about Neighborhoods in Detroit. As pointed out above, there are issues with the way you are going about making these changes. older ≠ wiser 15:16, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
- STOP needlessly duplicating poorly written, unsourced and possibly unencyclopedic content across multiple articles. Your complete lack of response to repeated requests to discuss what you're up to is disturbing. older ≠ wiser 16:01, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
