Welcome
[edit]Hi, I noticed you edited Key telephone system. It's good to see someone working on it who knows more about these beasts than me. Of course, knowing not so much about Wikipedia ways, you messed up slightly, so some of us jumped in and repaired it, thus combining your good knowledge of the topic with our understanding of editorial practice.
One thing nobody has fixed, so far, is that you mostly put this good material into the wrong article. There's already a 1A2 Key System article. Of course, what you put in is broader, covering earlier and later versions, which only means the 1A2 article is too narrowly titled. So, I intend to put a note in the latter article's Talk Page proposing to my fellow experienced editors that we rename it more broadly, like to 1A Key System and then move most of your material from earlier today into there.
I do hope you have some fun as a Wikipedian. If you have any questions you can ask below and I'll see it and so will other old timers. We're always trying to help people who have something useful to contribute and don't quite know the best way to do it. Jim.henderson (talk) 00:59, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
New articles
[edit]Click on Wikipedia:Your first article for advice on making a new article. Also, when an existing small article is inadequate, it's usually better to beef it up with sections and then decide whether to split off some of the sections as new articles. And of course, as the "first article" article says, be sure to search for existing articles, not only ones on similar topics but ones with similar names that could cause confusion.
