Yup

I just subst my templete page {{Subst:User:69.145.123.171/sig}} and get 69.145.123.171 Yes, I'm really an IP Friday, October 13, 2006, 03:16 (UTC) .

Your question

Has been answered! I decided to copy both question and answer to your talk, tho.

Is there a place where I can see all of the user subpages that I have made? Not sure if this is appropriate for {{helpme}}.--Chili14 03:17, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Re: High School Musical.

The songs are non-notable and it's horrible bias towards the current if we kept them, and they really aren't suitable for merging either. Will (Glaciers melting in the dead of night) 11:15, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

The Novels WikiProject Newsletter: Issue VI - November 2006

The Novels WikiProject Newsletter
Issue VI - November 2006
Project news
  • Due to the diligance of many editors we now have more than 5000 articles tagged as part of the project.
  • The /Assessment department has been making progress with discussions on the top priority level of novels. These are those articles that should be present in any version of this encyclopedia.
  • The "Members" list has been modified with a short archive or "inactive" list).
Member News
  • The project has currently 170 members, 28 joined & 0 leavers since the last newsletter at the start of October 2006. Of these 7 have been moved to a short "Inactive" list due to not contributing to Wikipedia for at least six months. They are free to reactivate themselves at any time, of course!
From the Members

Welcome to the sixth issue of the Novels WikiProject's newsletter! Use this newsletter as a mechanism to inform yourselves about progress at the project and please be inspired to take more active roles in what we do.

We would encourage all members to get more envolved and if you are wondering what with, please ask.

Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk), Initiating Editor

Auto list news
  • The NovelsInCompleteInfobox has been regenerated at the start of October and was shown to have grown rather than shrunk! So this month I have concentrated my efforts (with some help from Grey Shadow (talk · contribs)) on the novels missing "genre" tags. These "genre-less" have now "all" been dealt with. Hopefully we can break the back of this load of work, but it will need help. It would be nice to get these worklists to a state where they can monitor the newly created articles rather than cleaning the retrospective material.
Collaboration of the Month
  • The Collaboration of the Month is going well. October's collaboration was slightly compromised by the removal of our notice early on; however there were still nearly 80 edits to improve the article. This months Collaboration has been selected by popular vote and is Doctor Zhivago (novel)
Current debates
  • We have a project structure that allows for the formation of special interest task forces (al la "WP:MILHIST".) This is useful for identifying groups of Novels editors who have a common interest. (i.e. Science fiction novels, Crime Novels, Children's novels, Classic literature, Russian novels etc.) Would there be interest out there in setting one or more of these up. Comments please to the General Forum.
Newsletter challenge

Last months Liponym challenge was met by Springeragh (talk · contribs), but the article is still a "very" small stub.

  • The first person to start the article is mentioned in the next newsletter. This months' article is Lawrence Durrell's novel Clea.

November Esperanza Newsletter

Program Feature: Admin Coaching (needs coaches!)
Admin Coaching needs coaches!!! If you are an administrator, or even a generally experienced user, do consider signing up to be a coach.

Admin Coaching, now being coordinated by HighwayCello, is a program for people who want help learning some of the more subtle aspects of Wikipedia policy and culture. People are matched with experienced users who are willing to offer coaching. The program is designed for people who have figured out the basics of editing articles; they're not newcomers any more, but they might want some help in learning new roles. In this way, Esperanza would help keep hope alive for Wikipedia because we would always be grooming the next generation of admins.

What's New?
The Tutorial Drive is a new Esperanza program! In an effort to make complicated processes on Wikipedia easier for everyone, Esperanza working to create and compile a list of tutorials about processes here on Wikipedia. Consider writing one!
A discussion on how Esperanza relates to the encyclopedia has been started; please add your thoughts.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
  • The list of proposed programs has been updated, with some proposals being archived.
  • There is now a new program: the Tutorial Drive! Consider writing a tutorial on something you are good at doing on Wikipedia.
  • The suggestion of adding a cohesive look to all the Esperanza pages is being considered; join the discussion if you are interested!
  • In order to make a useful interlanguage welcome template, those involved in translation projects will be asked what English Wikipedia policies are most important and confusing to editors coming from other language Wikipedias.
  • A discussion of Esperanza's role in Wikipedia is being held, with all thoughts of all Esperanzians wanted!
  • Shreshth91 informed everyone that he will be leaving the Esperanza council as life is rather busy; his spot will be filled by the runner up from the last election, HighwayCello.
Signed...
Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Newsletter/Opt Out List.

Hey, how's it goin'? I'm taking of for a little bit to relax and wanted to let you know as it's unscheduled, etc. The folks upset about our victories on Tuesday have been coming after me on talk pages lately, and I'm sick and tired of it. See ya' when things cool down. Have a good one. Editor19841 (talk) 00:52, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Welcome back!

Hey! Good to have you back, Chili14. I negligently left you a couple messages while you were gone, not knowing you were in fact not here - my apologies. I recent dropped out of the scene for a couple days to, and I hope you're feeling as recharged as I am. A quick update on some mutual interests of ours: Denver's bid for '08 is getting better by the second, with media outlets appearing to be reporting so as well. Frequent updates can be found at the WFD2008 homepage: User:Editor19841/Denver 2008, where I'm keeping a log of events and am banking resources on local stuff, politics, Dem news, and bid info ( check out http://www.denverconvention2008.com/ , the official bid website set up by some of my fellow Colorado Dems). As well, with our incredible victories on November 7, both for the Democratic Party (and for progressive Christians like us across America), the DNC will likely take into account Colorado's swift blue state sweep. Anyhow, if you'd like, drop by the WFD2008 talk page and let me know what you think, or just skip over to my talk, etc. Have a good one, and again, it's good to see ya' back. Article about Wikipedia Users

Hello,

I am a freelance writer working on an article about the wide array of people who make Wikipedia their life, their passion, their pastime. Wikipedia “addicts” if you will. I’m looking for people just willing to tell their story of how they got sucked into the intellectual whirlwind that is Wikipedia; how you got started editing, how the obsession grew, and what you spend your time focusing on these days? Do you write articles from scratch? Is your main push toward one particular type of article? Do you patrol for typos and errors, or spend your time diligently fixing vandalism? Do you take part in the “social aspects” of Wikipedia; engaging in animated discussions or decorating your user page with all sorts of internet memes? Have you ever forced yourself to take a “Wikipedia break”? If so, what’s your 20/20 hindsight on the obsession? Basically I’m just trying to get an idea of what it’s like for various Wikipedia “addicts.”

I'm also looking at all the "behind the scenes" goings on at Wikipedia that the average reader of the site never knows about. I intend on focusing a little on several of the unofficial Wikipedia organizations that members are a part of such as Esperenza et al. As such, I would like to speak to you about your experience with the Concordia and Esperanza as well. If you are interested in participating, please email me at gmail.com.

Thanks FFFearlesss 20:10, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi Chili, thanks for the advice on emailing directly, but could you please tell me how on earth I email people directly. The only communication tool I've found is the talk page. FFFearlesss 00:38, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

Excellent, thanks for the advice. I really do appreciate it. FFFearlesss 01:04, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
