[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Camp Friendship (Virginia). When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Camp Friendship (Virginia). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Martin451 (talk) 21:37, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to Camp Friendship (Virginia). If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Martin451 (talk) 21:39, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
I've already left a message on the subject on User talk:PublicEnemy2013, but I'll copy and paste it here as well.
- Greetings. I believe your wholesale reversion of my edit was inappropriate on several counts:
- A full list of available activities is really more appropriate for advertising than a general encyclopedia article. Furthermore, it is mostly redundant compared with activities at other camps of this type.
- By doing a wholesale reversion, you inadvertently restored some previous vandalism that I had removed, specifically the text "Moose!" that had been inserted some months prior.
- While is it true that I have not attended this camp, or indeed any summer camp within 3000 miles of it, it makes no difference here. We assiduously try to avoid basing information in articles merely on people's personal experiences, or on their own original research. As an encyclopedia, all information herein should cite verifiable information from reliable sources that are independent of the subject. In other words, it should include information gleaned from newspaper articles, magazine articles, news websites, etc. Material from the camp itself can be used to supplement these sources, but it can't form the entire basis for the article. You may have attended the camp, but we can't simply take your word for it. As it stands, no reliable sources are cited to back up any of the information in the article, and I had tagged it as such. Until sources can be found and cited, the {{unreferenced}} tag should remain.
- I have included several links to Wikipedia's policies and procedures in this message and in the welcome message above. Please peruse them, and feel free to contact me on my talk page if you have further questions. I know it seems like we have a lot of rules around here, but it's all in the interest of creating the best encyclopedia posible. Thanks, and take care. --Finngall talk 21:39, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
