Kabab Soltani moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Kabab Soltani, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Notice

The article Kira Noir has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A porn actress lacking significant coverage about her in multiple independent reliable sources and therefore not passing WP:GNG. The references are not significant content and the third one is about a different person. A Google search found her giving an insight into the porn industry in articles for Nylon and Elite Today but they contained hardly any biographical information.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Categories

[edit]

The WP categorizing system is rather specialized and not always easy to understand. For example, there are multiple problems with the category that you created: "English language monthly magazine". First of all, we already have a category 'English-language magazines", as well as a cat "Monthly magazines". And categories should have multiple entries (hence: magazines). In addition, the one article you entered is about a scientific journal, not a magazine. I strongly recommend that you refrain from creating any other categories until you have more experience with our categorization system. Hope this helps. Happy editing! --Randykitty (talk) 22:38, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:English language monthly magazine indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Control copyright icon Hello C8rbon! Your additions to The Molecule of the Month have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 23:27, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Advanced Synthesis & Catalysis

[edit]

Hello, C8rbon,

Thank you for creating Advanced Synthesis & Catalysis.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Your article may unfortunately fail to meet the notability criteria of Wikipedia as it is very short and only cited Wiley itself. You can refer to Wikipedia:Notability to find out more and improve your article. You should also preferably lengthen it a bit.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Pygos}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

I have looked for other existing languages regarding the subject, and found that the Italian version is more substantial. Maybe you can improve your page by translating that page into English. Pygos (talk) 08:55, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
