Hartsfield Airport edit war
Thanks for your help ... looks like we both saw the same thing and started warning people at the same time. I've already requested page protection for the article to get things calmed down. --McDoobAU93 23:58, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
Welcoming you to the participants list on AfC!
Hi, and welcome to WikiProject Articles for creation! We are a group of editors who work together on the Articles for creation and Images for upload pages.
A few tips that you might find helpful:
- Please take time to fully read the reviewers' instructions before reviewing submissions.
- The project's discussion board is the best place to ask for help or advice. You might like to watchlist this page, and you are encouraged to take part in any discussion that comes up.
- Article submissions that need reviewing can be found in Category:Pending AfC submissions and there is also a useful list which is maintained by a bot.
- You might wish to add {{AFC status}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions. There is also a project userbox. If you haven't done so already, please consider adding your name to the list of participants.
- Several of our members monitor the #wikipedia-en-help connect IRC channel, and you are welcome to join in to ask Wikipedia-related questions.
- The IRC channel #wikipedia-en-afc connect is used occasionally for internal discussion regarding the Articles for Creation process, and also serves as a recent changes feed, displaying all edits made in the Articles for Creation namespace.
Once again, welcome to the project. Mediation4u (talk) 10:47, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
I find the box above useful for AfC quick links. Hope this helps, Mediation4u (talk) 10:47, 6 February 2012 (UTC) editing is fun
You have been mentioned at ANI
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Epeefleche and Night of the Big Wind. Thank you. ˜danjel [ talk | contribs ] 05:11, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
WP:ANI header names
Actually, Newbieguesses kind of has a point with some of those. I have renamed ANI sections in the past, myself. Any particular reason you're reverting him? The templated warnings also seem unnecessary. Perhaps discuss it with him... --Floquenbeam (talk) 21:35, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- Those do comply with WP:TPG. The reason why is that they're pointing out stuff that is wrong with the editors. That complies with WP:TPG. If you don't think so, reply here. Cutecutecuteface2000 (Questions, comments, complaints?) 21:44, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- I think there are better things to do than change the section titles, myself. So if you want to discuss it with someone, do it with Newbyguesses. But I think it's bad form to revert someone and drop inappropriate templates on their talk page ("please use the sandbox"?) in lieu of saying "Hey, NG, I reverted your edits at WP:ANI because /fill in blank/". Or even asking first, before the revert. He explained why he was changing them in his edit summary, so a lack of explanation can't be why you reverted him. Are you that convinced that you're right and he's wrong? --Floquenbeam (talk) 21:53, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- Well, renaming the section breaks any links to it. And, isn't Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents technically not a talk page? Mojoworker (talk) 22:02, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, it's technically not a talk page. Cutecutecuteface2000 (Questions, comments, complaints?) 22:04, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- (e/c) Whenever I rename a section, I also include an {{anchor}} template, so that old links still work (or, they work when I use the template right, which isn't a guarantee). I would imagine if something is a good enough idea for a talk page that it's in the TPG, then it's probably a good idea for ANI as well. And C3F2k, thanks for crossing out your warnings there; a nice, de-escalating move. --Floquenbeam (talk) 22:06, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
The Anchor approach seems good. Not up to speed on that yet, but *I* will try. Further point: the title *I* changed was for a section where the outcome clearly showed that there was no case to answer. No one is ever going to go looking for that section again. It will be archived though, and be just as accessible as any comment in the archives is accessible.
- See WP:TALKNEW. Headings may be about specific edits but not specifically about the user. In general, avoid using editor names in article talk page headings. Of course, there are times when this *rule* must be broken, f'ínstance at WP:ANI. But in most cases, it is better to be courteous, fair and WP:NPOV. There's more than one way to skin a quadruped. Thanks for the interesting discussion. Maybe we all need to think about for a few days, form a mini-consensus, and see if something useful comes out of this, Thanks, all, and sorry for cluttering up this talk page, (lurkers are messy people, but they mean well. NewbyG ( talk) 22:29, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks. It is always pleasant to see an editor with whom you have had an honest difference of view on a substantive matter, protect you from an editor edit warring on your talk page. I always am impressed by editors who do what you did. Who may have honest different views substantively, but are protective of our policies of civility at the same time— even if the incivility is directed at the editor on the other side of the substantive issue. Thanks again.--Epeefleche (talk) 23:24, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- Let me be the first to congratulate you on your new name.--Epeefleche (talk) 02:15, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
Sonic Generations
Thanks. Wasn't sure whether these were updates or vandalism - that article has been plagued by some disruptive IP editors. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 19:12, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
- Those were updates. C3F2k (Questions, comments, complaints?) 19:14, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker FAR
Hi! The Legend of Zelda FAR is still ongoing and has been moved to FARC. If you have the time, it would be appreciated if you could revisit your comments there, and perhaps give us your opinion as to whether the article should be kept as a FA or delisted. Thanks!
