Newt Gingrich presidential campaign, 2012
I do not understand how you missed reading the RfC on the talk page. Please don't replace this again unless the consensus changes. Dougweller (talk) 07:59, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- Whats not to understand. I didn't see it. Is that so hard to understand. A little AGF goes along way to explain it further. User:Stratavarius undid a snippet that had been whittled down to its core by many involved editors. Having not seen Mr Staravarious at the Gingrich campaign pages over the last month, I logically assummed he was an uninvolved editor just passing by. This RfC notification on the talk page must be something new. Ive never seen one before. But then I don't get envolved at RfC's or AN/I's too much. I didn't like the Ron Paul attack story any more than you do and said so at the time it was first placed in the article. You can check it out in the talk history. But the previous collaboration by involved editors seemed to give it a place. I hope you can understand now that you have a few more facts. Is this RfC tagging thing a new creation? It must not be used too much or I would see it around more often. ```Buster Seven Talk 08:17, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- RfCs are very common. See WP:RfC and the table "Issues by topic area" - click on any and you will see why I say this. Dougweller (talk) 17:29, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- RfCs are common, yes. I have just never seen them handled in this manner within the talk page that they related to. Had I seen it, I would not have undone the undo. ```Buster Seven Talk 00:54, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest
Hello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.
As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.
If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.
You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.

Disambiguation link notification for March 12
Hi. When you recently edited Page Brothers Building, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chicago fire (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Recruiting retirees and invalids
This is in response to your recent post at User talk:Jimbo Wales. I am posting this message here because that talk page has high visibility, and is more likely to attract the attention of someone who might misuse the information I provide.
At http://www.retirementhomes.com/, there is a search engine for retirement homes in many countries, and search results provide contact information. At http://www.hospitalsworldwide.com/, there is a search engine for hospitals in many countries, and search results provide contact information.
You might wish to assist by contacting retirement homes and hospitals. If you plan to use e-mail, I recommend that you have a separate e-mail address, specifically for sending the same message to a large number of retirement homes and hospitals.
You might wish to search for online videos about editing Wikipedia, and link to them in your message. You can search from Wikipedia:List of online reference desks#Directories of educational videos.
This is about as far as I wish to pursue this, but I have added your talk page to my watchlist, and I will watch for your response to this post.

- Thanks for your idea and the concern for safeguarding the resulting effort. I will start by composing an introductory letter for distribution to facilities, first, in Chicagoland just in case a visit will speed the learning curve. It may take a few weeks. ```Buster Seven Talk 22:19, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
- I have created User:Buster7/Sandbox-A Recruiting Project as a repository for communication etc. ```Buster Seven Talk 03:35, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for your enthusiasm. I would be interested in reading any progress report(s) you might wish to provide, at your convenience, on your talk page or on mine. If you do not wish to do so, then that is all right, too.
- I am willing to proofread your sandbox page and to recommend changes, if you wish.

- I am compleely open to your input and participation...in fact I'm looking forward to it. I'll let you know via progress reports whats goin' on. At this point I'm just looking down the road a bit and gathering some belongings at the Sandbox for what will probably be a long trip. Ive been aching for some positive project to do so this is it. BTW, while I am a 4 year WP veteran, I am not real good with tools, etc. At best I'm a cut-n-paste kind of guy that can follow the directions on the box. In that regard, I am probably like most of the retirees. Question: Has there been any previous WP sanctioned project to outreach to retiree's specifically?? Also. I want to e-mail Jimbo to get his input and thoughts and maybe an early roadmap. Since our connection happened at his talk, it seems appropriate to include him in early brainstorming. Feel free to proofread/input/change the Sandbox as you see fit. I sense that you are NOT a "It has to look this way and be done by next week" kind of guy. I'm sure we will get along. ```Buster Seven Talk 10:22, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
- I am unaware of any previous Wikipedia-sanctioned project to reach out to retirees specifically. There might be something relevant at http://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page. Your desire to e-mail Jimbo for his thoughts seems appropriate. I am planning to post my proofreading comments at User talk:Buster7/Sandbox-A Recruiting Project. I am not a person who is impatient for quick action, but my gender is undisclosed.
