Hey Buster,

How's it goin'? I just thought I drop a little note and say hi. I usually only make time for this on Christmas, but thought, why not during the summer as well? On Christmas, all I ever talk about is snowmachining, because it's usually the only weekend I get to go. However, now we're into my favorite part of the year, when it's warm and I get to go hiking without all my arctic gear. So far I've already had two close encounters with black bears and constant encounters with moose. The moose actually scare me more than the bears, because, as long as you don't sneak up on them or get near their food, a bear will usually go out of its way to avoid you. Moose, on the other hand, are usually tolerant of humans, to a degree, but can be extremely unpredictable and bullyish.

Of course, none of those compare to the worst predator of all: the dreaded mosquito!

I hope you've been well, and have a great summer. You're not still working on those political articles are you? (What a headache.) Anyway, I always think a good friend is one who I can have a rational disagreement with, and no feathers get ruffled, and you have always fit that description. Take care. We were in Yellowstone a few years back...staying in the lodge. (Camping days have long past). Early one A.M., out for a morning smoke and coffee I came within 3 feet of the local BullWinkle. Huge...ugly...majestic...and beautiful. We co-existed for about 10 minutes before he turned and walked away into the forest. Later, on the same trip out West, we were able to touch and pet a relatively tame young bison. He boarded w/ a cow and a horse. Amazingly agile and friendly w/ remarkably soft fur.
Recently interested in a few political articles...safeguarding bipartisanship. I hope to see you involved during the upcoming general election. Your fair and balanced position in 2008 is a highlight of that time. I have been working on an essay at WP:Paid operatives. Give it a look see and feel free to input your thoughts. Have a great summer. ```Buster Seven Talk 19:46, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
I managed to capture the surprised expression on this guy's face, just as he turned his head and realized what he was looking at.
Ugly and magestic and all those things, but also frighteningly fast, agile, and surprisingly flexible when they want to be. The photo to the right shows how close is way too close. (In case you need future reference.)
I thank you for your kind words. To be honest, there are three reasons I chose to work on the Sarah Palin article: 1.) I wanted to watch Wikipedia: Behind the Scenes so I could learn about it, and figured a high traffic article was a perfect place to start. (I find it much more intersting than The Osbournes.) 2.) Palin is a local, and I could use some of my own knowledge of Alaska to judge the commitment to quality of others. 3.) Like her or not, you have to admit, she was interesting. I stayed with that article mainly because I despise dirty politics, mud slinging, and, most of all, attacks on the innocent bystanders such as children. To be frank, I really have not seen any candidates this round that I am interested in following.
Aside from that, my youngest German Shepherd just turned two, so, when I'm not at work or remodeling the house, I'm usually working with them. We're pretty much full into their military-style training, and that means some serious time and commitment on my part. That leaves precious little time for even those articles which I am very adept in, like metallurgy, hydraulics, or fighter piloting. So, unfortunately, I will probably sit this one out on the side lines. C'est la vie.
I did see an earlier version of your essay when I happened to run across on Wales' talk page, (which I hardly ever visit anymore either). I'd be interested to see how it has evolved. I check it out when I get some spare time, and let you know what I think. Until then, au revoir. Zaereth (talk) 00:51, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

Timeline

Thanks for updating the Obama timeline. I started a new job and I have not had as much time for Wikipedia. I'll try to go through and do a little cleanup soon. —Diiscool (talk) 16:44, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Thanks, D. You have done an admirable job. The ball has been in your capable hands for a long time now. I'm using the Official schedule as a starting point for previous history for April/May/June 2012. I'll change the references when I have the time. If, down the line, you have an entry but not the time to make it just let me know here and I will be glad to oblige. BTW, what I'm still most proud of is how trouble and drama free these three articles have been. Good luck w/ the new job. ```Buster Seven Talk 19:20, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Sign

It's not mandatory. What is it with you folk? You guys support someone who constantly uses personal attacks against other posters and say nothing, but I make a choice to not sign and you're all up in my rear. [You're welcome to delete this after you've read it) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Midcent (talkcontribs) 00:11, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

You are correct. It is not manditory. Not signing is foolish, counter productive and anti-social. You have entered an adult community. This "you can't make me sign if I don't want to" attitude will cause many problems for other editors and future dialogue. Luckily for me, I will not be a part of it. ```Buster Seven Talk 02:38, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

So...The feeling is mutually mutual? ```Buster Seven Talk 22:48, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
Definitely and most admiringly mutually mutual. By the way, I swung by a noticeboard to check on the progress of a thread I've been following and ran across this. Took me back a few years! Beers, Writegeist (talk) 01:08, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited Dema Kovalenko, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page MLS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
