If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Aram Ostadian-Binai requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Top Jim (talk) 10:27, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

November 2010

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Aram Ostadian-Binai, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Top Jim (talk) 11:08, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Aram Ostadian-Binai. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Top Jim (talk) 13:02, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Cogniance

[edit]

The article Cogniance has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ways to improve Sahar Zand

[edit]

Thanks for creating Sahar Zand.

A New Page Patroller Lopifalko just tagged the page as having some issues to fix, and wrote this note for you:

Please find independent reliable sources. So far the article relies on the BBC as a source. There is one here for a podcast, if you were to add the podcast: https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2017/mar/05/the-world-according-to-studs-terkel-people-fixing-the-world-podcast

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can reply over here and ping me. Or, for broader editing help, you can talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Lopifalko (talk) 08:10, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Lopifalko: Hey there. Thanks for drawing attention to this. In addition to existing reliable sources such as BBC, IMDB and Foreign Press Association, I have now added other reliable sources such as Huffington Post, Channel 4, The Hindu, DocuWiki, NPR and ECW Press. Should I remove the tag?

Businesstecho (talk) 19:23, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Good start. However it is the independent reliable sources that it needs, such as HuffPost and The Hindu, and not so much sources for whom the subject has worked, such as the BBC and Channel 4. The NPR source and ECW Press book had merely a passing mention so I have removed them; DocuWiki appears to be a tertiary source. How about The Guardian source I gave you? It still needs more, if you can find them, please. -Lopifalko (talk) 10:05, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Lopifalko: Thanks for the input. Sure, I have now added The Guardian, The Telegraph, Desiblitz, The Quint, The Independent and The Spectator. Businesstecho (talk) 18:50, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Good work. I don't know if Desiblitz is considered a reliable source; and it's top heavy with primary BBC sources that would benefit from being removed (presumably those sources are the BBC's page about the thing itself, rather than secondary sources talking about the thing). Good work anyway and you can remove the tag. -Lopifalko (talk) 06:08, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
