I am the person who wrote this. Unfortunately I have no documentation. I only know others who were there at the time. I do remember it was an elderly couple who ran the place. I'm still here, and quite a few others who used to frequent the place still are. Like I said, I only wish I had taken some photos. Unfortunately it was also a nudist resort, so most people were camera shy. I didn't want to make enemies. It's interesting to read the second story. I was not aware of Mercury in the water. I am also fairly sure there were no babies born with defects. Yes I remember men who worked in the field, also frequented the place, as it was quite a "fun" place. I doubt the old couple were aware of much that took place down there. Sorry I can't add anything than my own personal memories. I spent two summers at the geysers! The years would have been 1970 and 1971. By the late seventies, as I said it had been turned into a religious commune. I don't know when it was finally purchased by Calpine and demolished. It is sad to know it is no longer! Calpine never had much interest in the place, and was always quite unfriendly to the visitors.
