License tagging for Image:Bogdanov 1 .jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Bogdanov 1 .jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:06, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
Снимки
[edit]I'll write this in Bulgarian cause it'll be a lot faster (there is nothing of special interest for users from the Republic of Macedonia).
--Laveol T 18:32, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
Laveol T 18:44, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
http://www.promacedonia.org/bugarash/sa/index.html Става въпрос за Гемиджиите(тези, които правят Солунските атентати). --BulgarianPatriot (talk) 18:48, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
I've deleted all your recent image contributions. First, there is no way you can re-upload that map with the Bulgarian flag across Macedonia, it was deleted after a valid community decision at IfD. The other images were all uploaded under an obviously false claim of being self-made. Anybody could see that they weren't. We take copyright issues seriously in this project. I want you to make at least a serious effort at accounting for your images correctly. If you're unsure about whether and how you can use one, please ask before you upload. Thank you, -- Fut.Perf. ☼ 19:30, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
OK, probably I`m too stupid to understand it and therefore I`d like to ask somebody to explain me. Why after there are N-many pictures, maps etc of the so called "United Macedonia", including Bulgarian territory, I`m not allowed to upload a picture of what I see as United Bulgaria.Furthermore I`m sure that it was added in the title either "Bulgarian idea", either "Bulgarian viewpoint" whereas the Macedonian ones are called just United Macedonian. And if United Bulgaria is offensive to other people so much that they can`t stand it, then I see no reason United Macedonia to be preserved, especially after it propagandates ideas for some redicilous historical claims and a state which had never existed, at least under Slavic rule. And taking into consideration that during the last census less than 1% of the population in Pirin Macedonia expressed Macedonian ethnic self-determination then there is absolutely no logic those pictures to be allowed, however noone makes remarks to their uploaders.--BulgarianPatriot (talk) 20:06, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
- I want to use this occasion to welcome you in Wiki, too. You can count on me for help in anything related to policies, pictures, maps, etc. Laveol, Gligan, Todor Bozhinov, are some of the other editors here that are very helpful to others, kind and good-hearted in any respect. The historical truth is known for most Bulgarians, but unfortunately this is an English Wikipaedia, and a lie, written in a English publication is very difficult to be countered with what is written in Bulgarian, no matter by whom or where. As you know, in FYROM there is a whole industry in history falsification, as the whole politics of this countrilet is built on such falsified history. A large part of the population fervently believes in every word written in their history books, which are full with hatred to everything Bulgarian. As regards sources, when you cite something, or upload a picture, always give a link to the ORIGINAL publication, preferally that which is in a paper form, and much better, if it has an ISBN number. Avoid linking it to a web site, be it promacedonia, or kroraina. FYROMians very conveniently for them used Wiki policies to claim (falsely again) that these sites are nationalistic. In fact, these sites are eclectic, and one can find in them books that support Bulgarian claims, but also books that support some FYROMian claims as well. One should know where to look. As regards maps, there is a book there about 100 years old that has many demographic maps of Bulgaria by Westerners in 19th century, like Felix Kanitz, Ami Boue, and other French, Austro-Hungarian, and British cartographers. These maps are perfectly valid for Wiki, and all of them clearly show the borders of San Stefano Bulgaria. None of them has Macedonian as a nationality. Another thing to watch for, is not to be engaged in edit-warring, i.e. reverting other contributors without discussion. Last year, the admins pushed a so-called MOSMAC, a policy related to everything connected with the Balkan, according to which every admin can block you for indefinite time only on a suspicion for edit warring. This policy is applied very often, and in most of the cases the blocking admin doesn't have a clue about the subject being discussed. So watch out, and make it a fun, not frustration. --Lantonov (talk) 12:21, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
I've just re-read the rules, concerning the upload of media and I'm gonna take notes of some recent problems I had with the Macedonists.
However, I'm particularly concerned about the articles, dedicated to BMARO/SMARO/IMRO and it's most prominent leaders, especially taking into consideration that I'm an active member of the organisation and know much better than the FYROMans what were, are and will always be our goals.
For instance in the article about Goce Delchev there are only documents proving the Bulgarian ethnicity of Delchev and there is nothing showing that he used to consider himself as descendant of the ancient Macedonians.Nevertheless, his ethnicity is presented as "disputed".May I ask by whom? The one and only "argument" of the Macedonists is that "Delchev used to call himself Bulgarian but in fact he was Macedonian because at the beginning of 20th century Bulgarian wasn't ethnic but geographic term".
--BulgarianPatriot (talk) 12:42, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
- In such case, as the above citation, it is good to put fact template as this: "Delchev used to call himself Bulgarian but in fact he was Macedonian because at the beginning of 20th century Bulgarian wasn't ethnic but geographic term [citation needed]". The date is important to watch because after 1-2 months, if a reference is not provided that Bulgarian wasn't ethnic but only a geographic term, you can delete the whole statement, writing in the edit summary that reference supporting the statement has not been provided upon request. If they provide a reference that is clearly inadequate, you can ask then this reference to be verified like this:[verification needed], which means that they have to supply the exact quote in the talk page, and exact details about the source. Then you should first try to see whether their info is true, the source writes what they say, and so on. Often, the truth becomes obvious at this stage: the source doesn't say what they claim, or it is taken from a FYROMian history textbook, etc. If in the source there isn't what they claim, you put [failed verification]. After verifiability comes reliability, then due weight, and then NPOV. Relevant templates for those are: [unreliable source?], [unbalanced opinion?], [dubious – discuss]. For [dubious – discuss], it is good for you to have opened the discussion on the talk page before putting it in the article. If there is a protracted dispute, rather than edit-warring, it is better to put templates [neutrality is disputed] after a single statement, or
,
on section, or
on a whole article. Main policy documents are:WP:Verifiability, WP:Verifiability and notability, WP:Reliable sources, WP:NPOV, WP:NPOV tutorial. For other relevant templates in disputes, see WP:Template messages/Disputes. As regards sources, note the policy WP:Reliable sources#News organizations where it is written that material from mainstream news organisations and newspapers are welcome. This is very underused source for Bulgarian materials. You can find very relevant info in the Bulgarian Focus news agency or in newspapers such as Trud and 24 chasa that have some authored material on FYROM in almost every issue.--Lantonov (talk) 14:32, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

I regularly read Focus and the other news agencies, however, they can't give as significant contribution as promacedonia.org because they lack authentic documents.BTW, currently I'm reading all letters of Delchev(one by one) and some of them are very interesting. You can find the complete archive of all preserved documents of Goce here[1].I recommend you to read №230.Soon I'm going to translate it and to add a reference in the article.

Macedonian Bulgarians
[edit]Hallo there,
Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation. I don't think I am the right person to ask - I withdrew from active participation in Wikipedia more than two years ago. However, you are welcome to seek assistance with sourcing or use the text from the Serres-Nevrokop dialect. VMORO 23:25, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
New Bulgarian municipality templates
[edit]Hi there! I've recently created Wikipedia:WikiProject Bulgaria/Municipal templates in a drive to build a detailed guide to Bulgaria by municipality by adding villages, notable landmarks, people and culture from each municipality. Please follow Template:Smolyan as a guideline and help get Bulgaria covered in detail in this way. I am creating the bones of the templates first but I will need help placing the notable articles into each new municipality template and then of course starting the missing articles we have for each of them in abundance. Feel free to start adding links to all of the others like Template:Smolyan. Thankyou and I hope people will see their potential for building a more detailed guide to Bulgaria!
