thanks for the material on the MV Tarahne but it would be much better if you'd just start the MV Tarahne article and place most of the information there especially the lengthy footnote, which isn't really appropriate for a list page. I suggest you use one of the other steamboat articles in th list as a model/template and post a notice of its creation at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ships so that more experienced editors can help clean it up and make sure it's properly categorized etc. The article would also allow for images of the Tarahne which can't be on the list or the Yukon steamboats template (those in BC Archives are public domain, though from before 1959 anyway; the license tag to use is {{pd-Canada50}} I think....if you have any questions or need assistance, please just ask me, or ask at WikiProject Ships.Skookum1 (talk) 14:12, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Specifically, you're trying to force references into the Ulster and Delaware Railroad article. That's not how it's done. At the place where the work is used in the article, you say <ref>Kaaterskill RR ledgers and records, NYC RR Records, Syracuse U. Library</ref>. Then you get a little number which is a link into the References section, and it has a backlink into the body of the article from where the reference was made. There's more, but you can start from there. RussNelson (talk) 03:15, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
hi, thanks, Alaskan Engineering Commission
[edit]Hi Buffalo Robert, i noticed your edits to the Alaska Engineering Commission article and I followed up by moving it, per your apparent information, to corrected name Alaskan Engineering Commission. Thanks! Also glancing at your contributions I see you have done a lot of development at List of steamboats on the Yukon River. Seems very interesting and helpful, documenting Alaska Railroad involvement with steamboats, not yet reflected in the AEC article (is there a separate Alaska Railroad or Alaskan Railroad article? I am not sure). I hope you'll continue to develop in these areas; keep up the good work! --doncram 11:57, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for June 28
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of steamboats on the Yukon River, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Whitefish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Hello, I'm Nikkimaria. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of List of White Pass and Yukon Route locomotives and cars. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
