Start over

I was just going to tell you that I really kind-of wanted to start over. FYI, I built up a bad reputation, and so now I have people like PS2pcGAMER following me around everywhere (but it's not just him), and it's driving me nuts. Not to mention I'm not exactly trusted anymore. I was thinking about just starting a new account, although I'm worried some might consider it Sock-puppetry. Your opinion wanted. --Midnight 7 04:35, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Oh, mostly what I described above. If want more, you can look at my contributions, other's, etc. --Midnight 7 07:13, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Help with a problem you caused

I need your help with a problem that you caused by deleting the file File:Bell 222.JPG from Wikipedia. You stated "Same filename on Commons; redundant". However, the file on Commons is named "Image:Bell 222.jpg" (not .JPG). This would not ordinarily be a problem, except there is another file named "Image:Bell 222.jpg" on Wikipedia. It is a very small, poor-quailty, doctored image that is not as good as the one you deleted. So, you have left me with a problem that I have no idea how to solve, and I was hoping you could help me to fix it. Is there a way to specify a commons image rather than the Wikipedia image, or will one of the files have to be renamed. to fix myself. In the future, it might be a good idea for you to check for problems like this BEFORE you delete a file. Thanks for your assistance. - BillCJ 16:57, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

I have re-added the file you deleted as "Image:Bell 222a.jpg" on Commons. I will try to nominate the original Commons file, "Image:Bell 222.jpg", for deletion soon. - BillCJ 19:05, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

No problem. It's an easy thing to overlook. Everything is OK for now, just trying to see how to get the original Commons image deleted. Thanks. - BillCJ 19:33, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

I noted that the user was changing colors of numerous locations while leaving no edit summary. For this reason, I left a notice of concern regarding what I called a test edit, not vandalism. I also left a message about how if he/she would consider using the edit summary field it might help other users understand what he/she intended with the edits in the future. Do you feel that my messages to the IP user were out of line? I am always open to constructive criticism. Thanks, Kukini hablame aqui 02:02, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

I can see why you would say that a custom message might have been better. I try to do that now and again. What I noted was multiple color changes to different pages over a short succession of time, which lead me to be concerned that the behavior might be developing in a non-productive manner. I will take your feedback to heart and try to improve. Actually, I have been criticized more for being "too welcoming" to newcomers than too biting. Perhaps I have turned the corner too far in the other direction now. --Kukini hablame aqui 02:36, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Re: Thank you

You're very welcome. Glad I could help in reverting the vandalism. Will (aka Wimt) 08:08, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi

Hi. I haven't been on and a while and can you tell me what happened here: List of Degrassi: The Next Generation episodes. Wasn't it supposed to be just a list with the episode summaries on each individual season page? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Xallium (talkcontribs).
