I'm not sure - I'll have to check when I get home. I'm afraid it's been a long while since I looked at Wise. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 18:04, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dalgliesh Gullane Entry

[edit]

I am interested in expanding this entry and to correspond with the owner said to be Swiss. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Foxcombe (talkcontribs) 17:55, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The car is listed at the Bertha-Benz-Fahrt 2001, owner Rolf Zeller, Club OCB. Switzerland, perhaps Bern. --Buch-t (talk) 18:16, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure with the name of the car. In every encyclopedia I found Dalgleish-Gullane (look at de:Dalgliesh-Gullane). The owner made the entry for the Bertha-Benz-Fahrt 2001 as a Dalgliesh-Gullane. And the emblem showed the name Dalgliesh-Gullane, but there is also the year 1908 on the emblem. So I think that the owner had made the emblem. Perhaps he had made a wrong emblem. Do you know more about the name, the car and the producer? --Buch-t (talk) 16:05, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The car is on display in the Pantheon Museum in Muttenz, near Basel, Switzerland this summer. Weblink. --217.133.55.147 (talk) 16:46, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Climax CR1

[edit]

Hi Buch, I been planning for a while of creating a article of a recent obscure car manufacturer called Climax. It was designed and produced by Coventry Graduates and inspired by the racing Cooper Climax in the 1950s. There was a showroom in Warwick which I photographed and uploaded onto the Commons.

My problem is that I never done a Wikipedia article before like how to lay out stuff and cite links which I already got as well as owning a physical brochure of it. May I ask if you could help with it or at least give some tips of creating the article that fit to Wikipedia standards. Thanks. --Vauxford (talk) 09:33, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Vauxford.
I am writing for the German wikipedia. I do not know the English rules.
Look at Wikipedia:Notability or Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) for relevance.
Please ask User:Charles01 for better answers.
I found http://www.checkcompany.co.uk/company/06722481/CLIMAX-CARS-LIMITED
My question for the company: Only prototypes? Or sold some cars? --Buch-t (talk) 08:04, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Buch-t: Sorry for the late reply. I'm not sure but it said they will be in production. A photos I took was said to be the production model I think. But no much information have surfaced since. I presumed they went bankrupted.
I have created a word document of copy paste information and website links related to it. It was originally a concept car around 2007 and made into production in 2015. Some of the links I retrieved where from the Wayback Machine. --Vauxford (talk) 18:15, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Now I see Climax CR1 for the car. I added the category for commonscat on wikidata.
According to http://www.checkcompany.co.uk/company/06722481/CLIMAX-CARS-LIMITED, the company was incorporated on 14/10/2008. Prototyp 2007 is older. It is possible?
I am not sure that they sold any cars. For an article in the German wikipedia about the company it is important for the relevance that they sold any cars. --Buch-t (talk) 08:42, 16 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the extra sources. Judging by the page number, you are using the 2000 edition of David Burgess Wise. I updated the reference accordingly, please tell me if that was in error. Best,  Mr.choppers | ✎  17:04, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I also ordered a copy of the Charge-Utile Hors-Serie (no. 98), just for the heck of it. Sometimes I take the actions of Löschtrolle personally...  Mr.choppers | ✎  17:53, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
