Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University

I'm reverting a known banned user. This has been a persistent problem that Thatcher131 is aware of [1]. In a new twist, the user has actually posted on Thatcher131's talk page effectively admitting to being the banned user [2] and expressing contempt for the Arbom decision.

As I understand it there is no limit to how many times a banned user's attempts to disrupt a page can be reverted. I assume Thatcher131 is off-line right now. I am hoping he will semi-protect the page when he gets back.

Please confirm that this is acceptable.

If it is to combat vandalism, then it is fine to revert a page as many times as needed. The Three-revert rule article says it is perfectly acceptable to revert a page as many times, as need be, if it is due to vandalism, as long as it is obvious vandalism. Bsroiaadn 16:10, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Plagiarism Removal

I'm afraid your script "Twinkle" is reverting a large section of the article Stochelo Rosenberg that has been plagiarized. Please see the article's discussion page. I've since re-removed the section, but it may happen again. dq 18:10, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

I find a lot of people just delete stuff for no reason. I apologize. I figured it was another case of someone deleting things because they're testing wikipedia or they delete it to put a single sentence that isn't very good, or something of that sort. Gibson Blackbird

Nice work on merging the Gibson Blackbird article into the Gibson Thunderbird article. Very professional, in my opinion. Very nice work. I'm glad I noticed you did that. I'll have to think about that if I ever make a new guitar-related article, whether or not it should get it's own article or be incorporated into another. Thank you. Warning placed on User talk:Fashelfer re: Michael Shelfer

Hello, I am a fellow RCP editor who noticed the edits on the Michael Shelfer article by his father. Fashelfer is not fully up to speed with Wikipedian policy. Still, that does not excuse his blanking and removal of maintenance tags to his son's article. I have tried to explain WP:COI as best I can to him. I would like to suggest to you that he is not yet up to a Level Three warning (although it is close depending upon an editor's interpretation of his actions). I would like to intercede for him and ask that you reduce your warning by one level. Of course, I will respect your opinion and will await your response here on your talkpage. Thank you for your comments. I appreciate your willingness to educate me to the policies of Wikipedia. Had I had prior knowledge of the policies, I would not have posted the article to begin with. Now, I understand. Historically, I've experienced hostile attacks against a website on the Internet and also virus attacks against my own personal computer. Anti-virus software has cost me plenty over the years. When RHaworth redirected the link, applied the COI tag and made his comments, I reacted defensively because I perceived it to be a personal and hostile attack against the posting. If I own Mr. RHaworth an apology, then of course, I apologize. I would have preferred Mr. RHaworth to have had the courtesy to have sent me a brief note explaining the reason for his actions. At least that would have been the more professional way to have conducted his edit. In the future if the article remains on Wikipedia, I'll take no further action with respect to editing or changing the article in any way. If the managing editors of Wikipedia feel the article is in violation of Wikipedia convention and its continued existence on Wikipedia has no merit, then they should remove it; the sooner, the better. I would prefer its removal to having it continue to exist with the COI moniker on it. Once again, thank you for your willingness to educate me and the time it took you to do it. About deleting warning messages

Can you please show me where it says you are allowed to or where it says that it's not against the rules to? I'm trying to find it to show someone, but can't find it at the moment. I'll keep looking, but if you know where it is, please give me the link. I'll be checking your talk, so just reply here. From Wikipedia:User page: On a user's own talk page, policy does not prohibit the removal of comments at that user's discretion, although archival is preferred to removal. Please note, though, that removing warnings from one's own talk page is often frowned upon.

So, basically, it's not a good idea, and everyone has a right to be a little annoyed by a user removing warnings, but it's not explicitly disallowed, only frowned upon. Leebo ^T/C 05:10, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Mayor Quimby

When a user repeatedly removes block notices and other relevant conversations while he is blocked, people can revert that user's edits. This sort of action constitutes "disruption", and according to Wikipedia protection policy, the user talk page can be blocked for the duration of the block. Also, Mayor Quimby made legal threats to a number of administrators involved in his block, and that is clearly against Wikipedia rules. Nishkid64 22:05, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm just gonna reply here since it wouldn't tell you if I replied in an archive. Anyway, if there were these edits going on, why not just log the page? I'm not sure if you're an admin or not, but you should have gotten one to do so if it was really that disruptive. I'm not sure how removing a block notice makes any difference, to be honest. He's blocked, removing a block notice won't let him edit anything anyway. Plus, people could always check the block logs. I wasn't aware of the legal threads, though. That is definitely unacceptable. I was the admin who originally blocked him. After I blocked the user, he repeatedly blanked his page and added some hateful things about other admins/editors involved, which I thought constitutes disruption. I fully protected his page and I let it expire at the time he was unblocked. He continued with his disruption on his talk page shortly thereafter and he made legal threats against me and other admins, which prompted the indefinite block. Anyway, he just basically blanked his page repeatedly, and that was the problem. When a user is blocked, he is not allowed to remove relevant discussions regarding his block or other stuff. My Question On Super Sentai

Who is this?

I know absolutely nothing about this show except that it seems Power Rangers was somehow adapted from this show but for American audiences. Anyway, I was wondering, in this picture what is the name of the character in the white suit with the partial-rainbow in a triangle shape on his chest and helmet? If you wouldn't mind replying on my talk page, because I might lose the link to this page somehow, that would be great. Even if it's just like "I answered your question on Talk:Super_Sentai", ya know? Anyway, I'll try to not lose this link, but I asked just incase you would be willing to. Thank you. His name is Big One. Super Sentai has been running for 15 seasons prior to the first season PR adapted; our season 15 (Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive) was adapted from their season 30 (GoGo Sentai Boukenger). Big One came from Sentai's second season, J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai, which aired in 1977. He was basically a "sixth" style additional Ranger, and the very first example of the add-on Ranger formula, although he was #5 there; that season started with only four heroes. The pic you linked was a teamup with multiple heroes from previous seasons; it's where the idea for the US episode Forever Red came from. He showed back up for the ep. Super Sentai

The guy in the white suit is Soukichi Banba or "Big One" from J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai. He never appeared in Power Rangers because the series he is from was started in 1977. In case you are curious, the other characters are Yuusuke Amamiya/Red Falcon from Choujuu Sentai Liveman, Miku Imamura/MegaPink from Denji Sentai Megaranger, Gouki/GingaBlue of Seijuu Sentai Gingaman, and Daimon Tatsumi/GoYellow of Kyuukyuu Sentai GoGo-V.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 20:45, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

How is Hasek better than Brodeur?

I saw you saying to leave a message on your talk page if I wanted to know more...which I do. lol. I'm not criticizing, I am completely open to new opinions. Of course, Brodeur will always be my favorite but Hasek is very talented. Just not sure if he's better than Marty. Also, if you could please reply on my talk page, I'm gonna copy this over to that anyway, so just reply in the section of the same name. Bsroiaadn 05:44, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Okay, ha, I give you some reasons.

1. Exciting to watch because of his unique style
2. First and only goalie to win the MVP twice and consecutively
3. Still performing well at 42 (ex. 35 save shutout @ Columbus) .913 SV% isn't too shabby
4. Most saves in a shutout victory - 42 (Brodeur had 39, but oh well)
5. First goalie since '74 to have a GAA below 2.00
6. First european goalie to have GAA below 2.00 as well
7. Personal best shutout streak of 181 minutes, 17 seconds (pretty good)
8. Most shutouts in a month - 6
9. First goaltender to win the Lester B. Pearson Award
10. Dominated the 1990's with Vezinas (6) - is 2nd in NHL history
11. In a 14 year span he led NHL in SV% six times
12. And finally, oldest goaltender to have a 30 win season

I know Brodeur has more records (record wise, not trophies andd stuff above) but it's because he played tons more games, and in his 90's had Scott Stevens, Scott Niedermayer and Brian Rafalski for his defense to back Marty up. However Hasek, he didn't have a good team with him (only Peca, LaFontaine for 2 years). No all-star d-men there. I'm fine with Brodeur, it's just that when people thinks Hasek is terrible. Okay sure Hasek has the trio of Schiender, Lidstrom and Chelios but that was just for a couple of years. The only reason why I don't like Brodeur is because he's better than Hasek in stats this year, but actually I look at in a different way--if Brodeur was 42 would he be performing as good as Hasek right now? So It is hard to compare the goalies, from the gap of GP so I look at it as awards, SV% records and stuff like that. As long as the Brodeur fan likes Hasek I'm fine with it. If they hate Hasek I'll try to think of Hasek's records and some of Brodeur's bad statistics, and you know it just to get back at 'em, right?)--Hasek is the best 14:52, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

You have some good points, now here's a couple in reponse to yours (numbered the same..but I may have missed some):

1. Brodeur is also exciting to watch.
2. Brodeur's never won an MVP trophy, so Hasek got him there.
3. Brodeur's only 34.
4. That's impressive, but like you said...Brodeur was close to that
5. Brodeur has had the same amount of below 2.00 GAA's as Hasek, two of them. Brodeur, though, had them consecutively (1996-1998). Marty wasn't the first since '74, but still.
6. Marty's not european, so I can't respond to that.
7. Not sure of Marty's shutout streak record.
8. I don't know Marty's record for shutouts in a single month, but in this season he had 3 shutouts in a month in October, December, January, and February.
9. Not sure if Marty was Goalie to win any awards.
10. Marty's led the GAA in a single seasons playoffs 3 times. Led the league in wins in a single season 7 times (8 when this season is over, although Luongo may tie..so we'll see). Led the league in shut outs in a single season 3 times. Also has the record of most shutouts in a single playoff year (7, 2002-03 season playoffs) As well as some other records that you can find at Martin Brodeur, not gonna list them all. I know Dominik has a lot, too, though.
11. Marty is the only goalie to score a game-winning goal.

I would keep going, but I have to go now...pre-easter stuff. Haha. By the way, I'm not putting Hasek down..he's definitely very talented. Bsroiaadn 00:42, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Well again a lot of his records are milestones were ex. wins, shutouts because he played more games. What do you mean by #9, of course he won awards. Anyway I have a few more reasons:

• Hasek also got bronze and gold in olympics, not just the gold + plus many europe medals

So again, you can't really compare the two because of all the differences. The only reason why people hate Hasek is because he's too old, but I don't think so. In fact, I think he's the oldest active goalie in NHL history. Brodeur is also talented as well in fact they are pretty much tied, I guess. Can you tell me what your reasoning is behind deleting [[Category:Sports in New Jersey]] from New Jersey Devils? I won't re-add it until you tell me your reason. Favorite NHL team

I hope you don't mind, I've been wondering this for a while. I've seen you editing (or at least writing on the talk pages) a couple NHL teams articles, if you don't mind me asking...who/what is your favorite team?
