[edit]Hi Bslay1298! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Please stop changing Sandy's damage total on the List of costliest Atlantic hurricanes page. The figures above $70 billion include the billions of dollars needed for clean-up and for extra protection in the case of another storm. This cannot be added in with the cost of the damage of the storm. Sandy caused $29.4 billion in New Jersey, $33 billion in New York, $2 billion in Cuba, and ~$500 million in other locations, giving a total of $65.5 billion. - That's the problem though. The $42 billion and $37 billion figures include clean-up costs and extra protection in the chance of another major storm. Taking this out gives you $29.4 billion in New Jersey and $33 billion in New York. TropicalAnalystwx13 (talk) 12:28, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
