If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Clearfield Area High School Football requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Go Phightins! 19:09, 20 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia

[edit]

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. I notice you like to work on school articles. So do I. Might I suggest that you take a look at the school article guidelines? School articles are kinda easy to create, because as long as the high school actually exists, there is really no way to delete it. That is not to say that you should just crank out a bunch of crummy articles, because you can. However, school articles are also probably the most vandalized articles on Wikipedia. If I can ever be of any help, feel free to contact me. On another subject, it appears you are looking for adoption. I would suggest that you find an adoptor with at least two years experience, and at least 7500 edits under his or her belt. There really is no textbook for Wikipedia, and adoption is probably the best way to go. I was adopted and it helped immensely. I would recommend the guy that adopted me, but unfortunately, he has retired. Again, welcome, and happy editing. Gtwfan52 (talk) 06:55, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wow!

[edit]

Hi Bryan! My name is Keilana, nice to meet you! I noticed some of your new articles, like Oil City, PA Micropolitan Statistical Area, and I'm really impressed with how quickly you've picked up the markup and formatting. I also noticed that you were looking for an adopter. I've been on Wikipedia for more than 5 years now, so I know my way around the place pretty well. I've adopted a couple of users in the past, including one now, Deidra, who I see you've met. If yo'd like me to, I'd be more than willing to adopt you. By the way, I saw that you're interested in astronomy, which happens to be my main editing area. I could definitely show you around Wikipedia:Wikiproject Astronomy and help you get started writing some astronomy articles too. Again, it's lovely to meet you. Happy editing! Best, Keilana|Parlez ici 19:47, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Astronomy...Yes please give me info on Astronomy or maybe we can start some sort of article. I love space and I do have a telescope. Very fascinating subject.

Hello Keilana, yes I would be glad for you to adopt me. Im still a little bit rusty but could use all the help I can get. Maybe You and Deidra could assist me in many catagories. Thanks again [[User:Brybry1999|Brybry1999 (talk)Bryan]]

Cool, would you like me to make an adoption subpage for you? Keilana|Parlez ici 02:50, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah about helping you, Brybry199.- Hi. I'm sorry but I can't help you. I'm actually being adopted by Keilana. It would be cool if she adopted you too. That would be awesome and I hope she does. I wish I could help you also. Love~ DEIDRA C. (talk) 21:58, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Sure Keilana I would like that, I still dont understand the Wikipedia lingo so, probably need help walking through this.
And Deidra thanks for trying, I guess we will be students. :-), Im sure we can give eachother input as well on articles and subjects. Lets get info to the world! User:Brybry1999
And its too bad Wiki don't have a speedy chat box for quick questions and reference talks. Of course how would you know if that person is online. Maybe a future thing for Wiki editors.
Okay, your first lesson is located at User:Keilana/Brybry1999 Adoption. You can read it and ask me any questions you may have, then let me know when you're ready to take the test. Keilana|Parlez ici 21:32, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Warren, PA Microplitan Statistical Area

[edit]

Hello Brybry1999,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Warren, PA Microplitan Statistical Area for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, [[:{{{article}}}]].

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Stephen (talk) 00:15, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Delete

[edit]

Yes please delete it, it was spelled wrong. So I copied what I wrote for it under the new title which is spelled correctly. Thank you.

Hi Bryan, instead of having it deleted, I redirected it to the correct spelling. In the future you can move the page by following the instructions at Help:How to move a page. In addition, I made this image for another editor and I think you might find it useful. Ryan Vesey 00:41, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your help sir, very appreciated. User:Brybry1999

Is there a reason why you reverted my redirect of Pottsville, PA Micropolitan Statistical Area? As I tried to explain in my edit summary, any µSA which directly encompasses a county is written about on the county article. See for example List of Micropolitan Statistical Areas. Seaford, DE µSA, Torrington, CT µSA, Hilo, HI µSA, Daphne-Fairhope-Foley, AL µSA and many other µSAs redirect to the county article. Any information that you are putting in Pottsville, PA Micropolitan Statistical Area would be better placed in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. In fact, almost all of the information you have added to your new article is already in the Schuylkill County article. Please stop making these changes until we reach an agreement. Thanks, "Pepper" @ 14:35, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello? Are you going to answer, or just ignore me? "Pepper" @ 21:58, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Lord I am new at this so I have no clue why it directed or whatever it did. user:Brybry1999
I am aware that you are new. I was just a bit annoyed that you continued editing after I tried to contact you. Sorry about that. Anyway, As I said above, if you look at List of Micropolitan Statistical Areas, which I see you've edited several times, many of these µSAs that directly encompass a county simply redirect to the county aricle. There is no need for a seperate µSA article. I was wondering if there was any particular reason why you thought this didn't have to apply to PA areas. If not, it would probably be best to just redirect the µSA articles you've created to their county articles. (See what I did here). Thanks, "Pepper" @ 00:03, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I understand now, I will be redirecting all my articles now on said subject. Thank you, sorry for the misunderstanding. βrỴḇṛỹ1999
No problem, and thank you for seeing what I saw. Also, after writing posts on discussion pages like this one, type ~~~~ to have the Wikipedia software automatically sign and date your post. As you can see at the end of my message here, it says my username, Pepper, and the date at which I saved the page. This helps keep track of conversation without having to look in edit history. If you have any other questions, you can contact me here. "Pepper" @ 12:59, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hey don't leave Wikipedia Brybry1999. Your new at this. This is exactly how I felt not too long ago. Plus if you need someone to explain it to you, I'm always right here at My talk page! If you want to chat with me somewhere not so out in the open, go here. Please don't go. If you decide to, then I'll let you know that I'll miss you and I think you would have done an incredible job here at the encyclopedia. I'm at a youger age at this point. *hint-I'm 10 years younger than a 21 year old.* Trust me, you might be younger or around the same age as me, and I want to let you know, that everyone here makes a difference. You came to Wikipedia not to long ago. And believe me, it takes more than a couple of months to write your first succesfull article. It's hard, but you'll get used to it, I promise. DEIDRA C. (talk) 21:37, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • sorry 10 years older..than a 21 year old. But your good at articles for such a young person. Keep up the good work. I don't know if I have the patience for all of it. Maybe ocasionally I will fix articles with misprints or false info. But to start an article really doubt it. But hey, have a Happy Thanksgiving. βrỴḇṛỹ1999 (talk) 09:25, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hey. Happy Thanksgiving to you too. If you feel as if you doubt yourself on making an article, then just edit or fix articles (just as you said). It's also nice to help out with some side articles (like I do). Try to find an article that you may want to add some extra information and knowledge to, then edit it with some permission first. Ask a Wikiproject for that article if you may include that information. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. RaidenRules! (talk) 18:23, 18 November 2012 (UTC) PS- If you're wondering, I changed my name from DEIDRA C. to RaidenRules! RaidenRules! (talk) 18:24, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You know something? You've done a lot more editing on your first couple of days than I did. You achieved a lot in a week. Believe me I know. I'm not a good Wikipedian because I haven't edited much. I've edited a couple of articles, but other than that, nothin. You- well you're all right. You're already on the road to becoming a great Wikipedian. RaidenRules! References in articles

[edit]

Hey - nice job on the new articles. I noticed that you reference US Census data, but you don't mention where you got it. As Wikipedia strives to be as helpful (and correct) as possible, would you mind adding references as to where you originally got your information? A beginning guide to referencing can be found here. Thanks, "Pepper" @ 19:56, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've fixed up Buffington - hopefully you can see what I've done. The references themselves actually go inline with the prose, and the <references /> tag does all the rest of the work. "Pepper" @ 13:35, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Bear Rocks, Pennsylvania

[edit]

Hi, I'm Sumanah. Brybry1999, thanks for creating Bear Rocks, Pennsylvania!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I used to live in Pennsylvania and thank you for improving Pennsylvania-related coverage. Maybe you could get a photo to use via http://search.creativecommons.org/ ?

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Thank you Sumanah for your information. Yes I'm still new at wikipedia, but i am catching on very quickly. I am from central Pennsylvania and started off with articles locally to where I am from. Eventually, soon, I will be updating articles with pictures of my own. I learn more and more everyday. I love edditing, and creating, especially about my own state. I noticed your question regarding Wikipedia and job opportunities. Check out the institutions (such as libraries) that want Wikipedians in Residence, and you might also want to subscribe to @WikimediaAtWork (Twitter or Identi.ca) to be alerted when the Wikimedia Foundation has new jobs open! I don't know how to be alerted when local Wikimedia chapters are hiring except to read the wikimedia-l mailing list, and even then I'm not sure.
